Former intelligence operative and ex-Vietnam War soldier, social worker and teacher Tim Adams has spent five years in exile from both his time in Asia as well as an espionage mess that ended badly in San Francisco. When he was approached to assist a WWII veteran with “problems,” he had no idea how deeply it would involve him in the wars he left behind. Set in the bucolic streets of Santa Monica, the humid back areas of Bangkok Chinatown, and in the skies over northern Burma, Adams dodges triad activists, CIA operatives and his own ghosts as he attempts to help retrieve a cargo of gold (and incriminating documents) from the “Hump,” a pejorative term for the Himalayas. It is an action/adventure thriller that includes social commentaries on Southeast Asia, as well as a running battle that covers three countries and includes aerial combat.

A local teacher, Sumaree, and her husband, Swedish Rex Roxenhed, engage in the case and start to investigate the company behind the heavy traffic. Meanwhile, the Police are preparing to strike against a local drug lord. Sumaree's attempt to look after her students safety suddenly coincide with the authorities fight on drugs. The resolution reaches its climax when an old love story unravels. Blood Red River is set in a Thailand far beyond the tourist resorts and is a story about family ties, poverty and the daily struggle for survival, but also about lifelong love.

Apna Street is the story of how a small group of pavement dwellers in Mumbai transformed their own lives, and those of millions of other homeless people across India and the world. In1986, pavement dwellers from several neighbourhoods in Byculla came together to explore their dream of a secure home. This network of women’s collectives named themselves Mahila Milan or ‘Women Together”. They elected a committee of eleven members to represent them. Every two weeks the City Council had demolished their huts, and confiscated their few household belongings. Each time the women rebuilt their huts. But now they had decided ‘enough was enough!’ A quarter of a century later, the movement has grown beyond all recognition. There are many sister Mahila Milans all across India. In association with the National Slum Dwellers’ Federation and SPARC, a modest-sized NGO in Mumbai it has formed a close working alliance that has given birth to Slum/Shack Dwellers International, a world-wide movement working in more than twenty three countries in Southeast Asia, South Africa and South America. The alliance has spawned Nirman, a major construction company that builds houses for pavement and slum dwellers across India with an annual turnover of twenty crore rupees ($40 million)!
