Energy monitoring of house (v. 2.0.1)

This lite version of houseEnergyMon can be used to follow some energy consumption, like electricity. Enter in beginning of every month the counter value of e.g. electricity meter (the running value, kwh, kJ what ever). The app will then count the consumption automatically. This can then be used to estimate roughly how big electricity bill will be...

This version now supports two meter values per month  (e.g. day-tariff vs. night tariff).

Example: lets say that the meter value Jan.1.2011 was 1000kWh, and Feb 1 2011 2133kWh. The app shows that electricity consumption in January was about 1133kWh.

The accuracy depends of course on user, e.g. the meter value should always be read 1st day of month...

To make backup of database, just press menu on applications main page. Then chose DB/Database and backup. To restore from backup chose restore (Note! restoration overwrites the current DB...)

A simple application for managing the lent or borrowed money. It's possible to add people to a list and transactions to each person to see the lent or borrowed money amount. You can also edit or delete a person or transaction later.

Simple Tutorial:
- Add a person by touching the add person button.
- Click the person and you can borrow or lend money by pressing the add transaction button.
- Long press the person and you can edit its name or delete it.
- If you click an already added transaction you can edit or delete it.

Features:
- Configure your currency any way you want.

Don't you have it too quite often that you are at a restaurant with family or friends and you realise you didn't bring any cash? So you decide to pay for everybody and they have to pay you. Or that you bought all the movie tickets and your friends have to pay you afterwards for their ticket.

Usually that means following up with everybody, people forgetting, sending reminders etc.
But not anymore! The Going Dutch app is going to solve that for you. And it does not even require always an internet connection, only during the actual payment, which can be postponed to a more convenient time!

The Going Dutch app is allowing group payment from you and/or by your friends/family via PayPal using a wireless Bluetooth connection. That means it is a contactless form of consumer to consumer (c2c or p2p) payment. And unlike NFC you don't need to keep your phones a maximum of about 10cm apart, you can be meters apart from each other!

As the one that needs to get paid (the Payee) you start the Going Dutch app and tap the Get Paid icon.
That allows the Payee to enter the nr of persons that have to pay, the amount the have to pay, etc. Pressing Get Paid then makes it wait for Payers to connect. In short, the payment is "pushed" to the payers.

Your friends (the Payers) also have started the Going Dutch app. They press the Pay button after which it goes searching for a Payee device. As soon as it shows the right one, the Payer taps that entry. The Payer's app then receives the amount information from the Payee device, shows it, allows the Payer to overwrite it (for example his main course was more expensive), and the Payer can pay via the regular PayPal interface.
But maybe the Payer is having too much fun, so she doesn't want to pay right now. No problem, just select Pay Later and a reminder-notification will be shown on top of her phone. Whenever the Payer starts the app at a later point, for example the next day at home, a red counter badge shows there are still payments outstanding and the Payer can pay at that much more convenient moment!

The Going Dutch app uses BlueTooth as inter-device communication.
It has been tested on the following configurations:
- Android 2.2.1, 2.3.3, 2.1upd1
- BlueTooth: 2.1, 3.0
- Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy S2 and Ace, HTC Wildfire, HTC Desire HD

The app supports a maximum of 20 payers and has currently been tested with 1 and 2 payers.

Going Dutch users must have a PayPal account for both being a Payee and a Payer. No need for any other type of sign-up/new payment forms.

Note that when two devices connect for the very first time, they have to be "paired" via BlueTooth. On some devices that request for pairing appears in the status bar at the top of the device, and might be missed. Check if there's a notification pending when connecting two devices does not work. Some phones handle Bluetooth better than others, just retry connecting when it fails.
Also note that after the payment, the Payee receives an email to confirm the payment(s).

Network communication: for Bluetooth communication
Phone calls: for PayPal SDK
System tools: for Bluetooth communication

Advanced Tip Calculator (v. 1.0)

Easily calculate your tip and total using over a dozen different tip calculation methods.  Enter your total bill cost, choose your favorite tip method and select whether it applies to your Total or Tip.  Then slide the Quality of Service until you get your desired tip and total.

For those that don't like change, you can just use the "Old School" method and it will calculate your tip and total based on a straight percentage.  But, for the more adventuresome, I suggest you try the other more fun methods.

For example, if you want to pay with cash and not have to carry around any change, select "Easy Rounder" for "Total".  It will round the total to the nearest dollar and show you the available tip percentages as you slide the Quality of Service.

Also, if you wanted to pay with a credit card for the bill, but pay cash for the tip, and had 55 cents in your pocket to get rid of, then select "It's My Fav!" for "Tip" and set your favorite number to 55.  It will only select tip values that end in 55.

Stock Market Fundamental Analysis Tool


Discounted Cash Flow Model (DCFM) is financial application designed to help you to estimate the attractiveness of an investment opportunity, analyzing the futures cash flows that a firm will generate for the investor (free cash flow) and discounts them at an appropriate rate to arrive at present value (concepts of time and risk value of money).

The DCFM takes in account the Oppotunity and Risk of the investment, and the Inflation over time using the Present Value concept.
Key Components of the DCFM

    Free cash flow (FCF) – Cash flow generated for the investor
    Terminal value (TV) – The value of an investment at the end of a period (when is expect that all future free cash flows stabilize at a constant growth rate in perpetuity.), discounted at an appropriate rate to arrive at present value
    Discount rate – The rate appropriated used to discount the estimated FCFs and terminal value to their present values - generally has a WACC (Weighted Average Cost of Capital).

This trading tool allows:

☆ Store (save, load, and delete) your calculations to the internal memory or the SD memory Card for next time (useful to compare similar companies or a compare a company over different periods)
☆ User to email a brief summary with the results of the DCFM.
