英語の多読をするならこの多読応援アプリです。

かんたんな英語の童話などを読んで、多読をすすめられる『英語多読シリーズ』の第4弾です。

今回はシリーズで初めて2,000語を超える物語を2話用意しています。少し難しいですが、日本の童話がベースとなっていて読みごたえがあります。
その他、ダビデとゴリアテなど海外の洋書をあわせて全部で8話、総語数1万語を収録しています。
主に童話なので初心者向けですが、個人差もございますのでご購入の前にスクリーンショットで画面をご確認ください。

SSSの推奨する英語の100万語多読を実践している人にはオススメのアプリです。
SSS式多読の効果を裏付ける3原則になるべく沿うかたちでできているからです。

【SSS式多読の3原則】
1.辞書は引かない
2.分からないところは飛ばして前へ進む
3.つまらなくなったら止める

この3原則を崩してしまう辞書機能や簡単クイズやメモ帳などの機能を排除しています。
ですから途中でわからない単語を辞書で調べたい、理解度を確認するために簡単なクイズのようなアプリが欲しいケースには向かないと思います。

もうひとつのオススメの理由は、私も経験しているのですが、初心者の場合、100万語多読のスタートは1冊数ページ(1000語程度)のペーパーバック(洋書)から始めることが多いのですが・・・。この数ページのペーパーバック1冊の値段がだいたい500円程します。
つまり1,000語程度の洋書を読むのに約500円かかり、最初の1万語をクリアするのに5,000円もかかる計算になります。
この金額が100万語を目指す多読初心者には重荷ではないかと思います。
その一助にでもなればと思い作成したのがこの多読応援アプリでもあります。
ひとつのアプリで1万語をクリアできます。

600~1000語程度のストーリーがいくつかあるので、電車での移動、一人で食事をしている時間や寝る前の5分といったスキマ時間を使った多読が可能になります。


※レベル的にはSSSの読みやさすレベル1~2に近い洋書を用意するように心掛けていますが
パブリックドメインの絵本を使用していますので、古い言い回しや難しい単語などもあるため少し難しく感じるかもしれません。
ただ、単語一語一語を訳すのではなく、なんとなく全体をつかむのが多読です。多読では、なんとなく全体をつかむが大切ですので、細
部にこだらずストーリーを楽しんでいただければと思います。
※一部難しい単語には英英訳が記載されています。本文中にグレーで括弧書きされている個所が英英訳の部分になります。
※100万語多読とは、自分の英語力に適した難易度の英語の本を、100万語を目指して読んでいくうちに自然に英語の力が身につくという学習法です。

Help the new reader in your household with this fun sight word quiz game modeled after the exercises my daughter’s first grade teacher suggested we use.  

• Quizzes from 6 different word lists – first, second, and third 100 sight words, sight phrases, nonsense words, and a custom word list that you can modify.
• Each set contains 100-200 words or phrases, twenty of which are randomly selected for each game.  
• Selected words are randomly cycled through allowing the reader press thumbs up if they know the word (earning a tick mark) or thumbs down if they don’t.
• Once a word has three tick marks, it will not show up again during that game.
• Once all the words have three tick marks, the reader is greeted by applause and a personalized win screen.
• Touch the word to hear it read aloud.  
• Add/remove to custom word list button that can be used If a word is giving the reader particular trouble.  Then switching the word set to Custom will focus on only the tricky words.

「新埔不只是過客APP」是教育部顧問室智慧生活整合型人才培育計畫支持下，由國立
交通大學連結新竹縣政府、太平洋自行車（Pacific Bicycle）、長茂科技（CMoreMap
）、福袋科技、新埔鎮公所、柿染工藝協會，還有在地的商家共同推出的智慧行動導覽
服務，期望以「智慧單車慢遊小旅行」（Slow Biking） 方式，讓國內外的旅客能「不
只是過客＝不再只是經過客家庄」，發現和體會客家小鎮新埔的美好，更盼望能讓大家
跟我們一起愛上新埔。

「新埔不只是過客APP」是國立交通大學客家文化學院傳播與科技學系的林崇偉教授，
透過結合他所開設的「數位典藏」、「整合行銷傳播」與「文化創意產業」等課程，前
後超過一百多位的交大學生，以及國際經濟商管學生會（AIESEC）交大分會和數十名國
際志工，歷經近兩年的努力所完成。程式提供36多條中英文，以文化、親子、生態、產
業等獨具特色的新埔旅遊路線圖資、300多個特色地標、50多個小吃和店家推薦，還能
夠即時隨身體驗75個新埔特色景點720度環景，以及15部令人拍案叫絕的新埔創意影片
（快打旋風大士爺、麥克雞塊沾桔醬、魔獸世界在新埔、文藝青年桂花園、給月亮的歌
客家創意MV等等）。
