FÁS Employment Services Employment Programmes are now Part of Department of Social Protection.
We have reviewed all the feedback received from the customers on the Android Store and have  updated Jobseeker App reflect some of the changes made based on the customer request and review’s. We are trying our utmost to offer new features on the App some features are possible and we have added those features on the jobseeker App. We hope to improve and offer more new features in the next version of the app.  

New features:

Added new menu option on the App

Search for today’s listing straight from the home section,
Option to save and delete jobs from the saved jobs menu button.

Useful information: Important websites links in Ireland and links to other Social Security websites around the world.  
Job Seeker Pack:  Jobseeker Pack has useful tips such as CV Preparation, Job Interview tips and Useful Websites.
Labour Market Information: provides information on employment trends and the employment outlook for various occupations. It also provides information on other characteristics of those employed in each occupation - their age, gender, whether they are typically self-employed or employees, and whether they are typically working full-time or part-time.

Sales Manager is a powerful tool for producing sales invoices in the field. It is also a FREE app. It is not a trial version, and there is no expiry date. It is fully functioal, though there are a number of paid extras.

Sales Manager is faster and more accurate than traditional paper-based methods, and can handle large amounts of data. Invoices can be printed on a Wi-Fi printer, and barcodes can be scanned from any Android device with a built in camera. The salesman does not have to lug around a heavy laptop - he only needs the phone that he already carries.

Sales Manager is a cloud based system. It allows the salesmen to download product and customer data from a web server, take orders in the field, and upload them back to the server. Each company that uses our server has its own database, which can it can maintain using a web application. Companies that prefer to do so can also host their own web servers.

Sales Manager is designed to run on just about any iPhone or Android phone, and can be used even on devices with small screens. It has a rich graphical user interface, which makes it easy to learn and to use. The application uses a highly scalable SQLite database, and all queries are indexed. It can handle large numbers of customers and products, with little or no loss of performance.

Sales Manager Invoicing can adapt to match most business situations, and automatically formats dates and prices according to the current locale. It also has a flexible business model that includes support for multiple price lists and variable tax rates. It can be used for returns and refunds, as well as invoices.

Server
------
Sales Manager runs a subscription service, and companies pay a monthly fee to use our server. Our Management Console allows companies to upload and download data in CSV format. They can also edit their databases directly, and perform various management functions. The use of the mobile application itself is free for companies that use our server.

Vanguard Software also provides both PHP/MySQL and ASP/SQL Server scripts for companies that choose to manage their own web servers. This requires a lot more effort than using our own server, but it does allow companies to integrate our database with their existing applications. Companies pay a license fee for each mobile device that they use.

The function "Repeat 'Why?'" has is only repeating "Why?". This way is called "5 Whys" and it helps you to solve your problem by making the problem's bottleneck clear.

How to try "5 Whys":
1, Set a problem you want to solve.
2, Set a goal you want to archieve by solving the problem.
3, Think why the problem happens (happened).
4, Think why the reason which was found at 3 happens (happened).
5, Repeat "Why" until bottleneck of the problem is clear.

By solving the bottleneck you find can be the first step to solve the problem.

Have you ever had to work out what time it will be in your location for a particular time in another location somewhere around the world?
Maybe you want to attend a webinar which is held at 5pm New York time. Or you want to call somebody at 8am Paris time.

Of course there are plenty of world clocks available to give you the current local time anywhere across the globe.
However, with such world clocks you are still on your own if you need a time other than the current time. You surely went through the exercise of adding or subtracting hours to derive your time once you worked out the time difference between the time zones.
Did you make it to the webinar on time? Did you wake up the person in Paris? Or have you been late?

The Time Machine relieves you of all these burdens. Unlike other world clocks the Time Machine goes a step further and allows you to enter a specific time in any one location and the app will automatically calculate the time in other locations of your choice.

--> Note: Russia has changed its timezone management a while back and not all the phones have adjusted to it yet.
If you are based in Russia and/or you are setting your phone to a Russian timezone then do the following:
a) Go to Settings 'Date & Time'
b) Untick the box 'Automatic'
c) Manually select your Russian timezone (i.e. Moscow). On most Android versions it says GMT+3:00 which is no longer accurate.
d) Manually set the time to the correct local time.
e) That's it.
