The mission of the Dubuque Bruisers Football Team, Inc is to develop talented football players into successful individuals by virtue of teamwork, leadership, integrity, faith, and common goals as part of Triple-A Minor League Football. It is our goal, to develop athletes who excel on and off the field while contributing to the betterment of the Dubuque Community through various partnerships with schools and nonprofit organizations.
Company Goals and Objectives:
- Create an opportunity to play/view Triple-A Minor League Football in the Dubuque area.
- Increase the skills base for football players who wish to improve before moving onto college and/or professional football.
- Increase family-friendly entertainment opportunities in the Dubuque area.
Business Philosophy:
The DBQ Bruisers organization will provide a family-friendly entertainment opportunity through their football program and volunteerism in the community. Not only will the athletes increase in physical prowess, they will improve the lives of others in the area through community service and volunteerism.
In times of economic uncertainty, such as now, affordable entertainment becomes a needed commodity. The DBQ Bruisers games will provide such a community resource. No longer will sports fans need to travel to Chicago or Minneapolis to watch a game; they can watch a game in their own community. No longer will they need to spend hundreds of dollars for season tickets for their team. The local economy will gain new tourism dollars thanks to the fans that will be coming into the Dubuque area to attend the Bruisers home games.
As a new member to the Triple-A Minor League Football industry, the DBQ Bruisers team is leveraged to become a great organization. The Bruisers have a large following that attend home games and travel to away games.
The Bruisers Coaching Staff is well trained and experienced. Members of Coaching Staff have been football players and coaches in various settings including colligate and semi-professional levels. The teams owner has already found support from the local business community in the form of multiple corporate sponsorships; endorsements from local sports personalities, Gary Dolphin, Dennis Rima and Tom Barton; and a personal invitation to join the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Dubuque. The team also has the support of local government official, Councilman Dirk Voetberg.
