[2013-01-19] A Google User: Good but could be better The app ui is lovely but when it comes to speed its refresh rate for the gauges is realy slow. The program needs stripping down and rebuilding in my view. |
[2013-01-19] A Google User: Sucks This app sucks. Get Torque. |
[2013-01-17] A Google User: Purchase and registation process awful I purchased the "pro" version for my Google Nexus 7 Android tablet and OBD Link MX. The registration process is terrible. It requires an account to be created at the Palmer website to purchase the software, then another account to be created on the Android device, each requiring logon information. Then the registration code is a 16 character mixed number and alphabet code that must be entered into the app using the Android touch-screen keyboard. The registration doesn't survive when the Android is backed up, so re-entering all of the login info and registration code is needed each time. If you use this app, print out all of the information, because when you try to use it, the registration process reverts to evaluation mode, which is useless. I've actually used the application as desired ZERO times. By the time I get it re-registered to the "pro" mode, the necessity of using is has passed. I toss my Nexus to the back seat and use an USB OBD device with a laptop, go home, and re-register the Android again. Maybe just once the software will working at the same time I need it, but it hasn't happened yet. Two stars because of the purchase and registration process. |
[2013-01-15] A Google User: So far program sucks I am waiting for a reply to my email to explain how to use the app. None of the information i see in dash command is useful. I purchased a piece of hardware, think i wasted my money. Glad i did not purchase anything else. I used torque. Very simple. |
[2013-01-11] A Google User: Wow impressive. Really good. Need a large display and a good processor thought. |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: Incredible Awesome app The best |
[2013-01-10] A Google User: DASH COMMAND Very usable product, I am glad to have it. |
[2013-01-09] A Google User: Non start I have a Samsung galaxy SII D710 running Android 4.0.4 the program lets me get to choose the type of scan then the screen goes black, phone give a message that the program stopped working and goes back to the home screen. I tried to run the debug, but it doesn't write a file. Of this is fixed I will gladly purchase the program! |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: . This is a great app but $50 is to much |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Good interface It is working well and I like the downloadable skins. But my question for the developer, do you have to login every time you want to use it? That's useless for me since I want to use a wifi only device and often travel outside of cell areas anyway. I would purchase it if I don't have to login every time. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Great tool Connects over Bluetooth and shows me everything I need |
[2012-12-28] A Google User: Overpriced!!! Torque Pro is a much better app! |
[2012-12-27] A Google User: Best so far Much easier interface with much better appearance than any other OBD app for android! The payment process is crap, confusing and takes forever. The app is only worth the special price of $9.95 not $50 otherwise Great job. Features to add are 0-100m times 1/4 mile etc, a shift light, warning sounds, throttle/brake possition & graphing! Tidy menus and allow better finger scrolling. Be able to alter the layouts within the app! Fix this then you will well out do torque and get 5 stars from me! |
[2012-12-27] A Google User: Abe Ok |
[2012-12-26] A Google User: Nyc Superb |
[2012-12-21] A Google User: Nagware of the worst sort This app is NOT free. There is a 30 minute evaluation period which didn't even leave me time to put the car in gear let alone try it out properly. You have to register to use it and there are constant demands to log in to work. This isn't always possible if you're using a tablet on Wi-Fi!. The hidden cost is $50. Hidden because you have to pay on a remote site and then Log in to the site through the app. Remember this is an app for a car likely to be used on a tablet which doesn't always have a data connection. Leaving this disgraceful behavior to one side, the app isn't much good. There are no instructions and most of the displayed info is already on your car anyway. If you want to trick out your dash, fine, if you want to diagnose something, you'll be out of luck. I'd tell you more, but the constant nagging, ads, and demands to log in and register drove me nuts. Uninstalled. |
[2012-12-10] A Google User: Good app. Would rate 5 star but would like to see it more customizable works well on my Galaxy S ll . |
[2012-12-08] A Google User: Great Works flawless |
[2012-12-03] A Google User: Htc Evo 4G LTE Works mostly well sometimes trouble connecting to plx kiwi |
[2012-11-29] A Google User: Great app Its the best. Use it all the time. |
[2012-11-28] A Google User: Decent free but not worth the paid. Tried the free version with the PLX Kiwi and used garage's paid version on their tablet. Truly not worth the price for the full version. The interface needs a lot of improvement. Feels like a first generation app look and feel. Gauges work decent when you use a higher update rate. Honestly, if Torque doesn't work for you, the free version of this is decent enough. If they corrected the clunkiness, allow it to play better with more devices and used a better price, this app would be worth reconsidering. |
[2012-11-27] A Google User: Simply does not work Has trouble connecting via Bluetooth and when it does connect locks my phone. Gets a one for nice screens. Too bad they can't be used. |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Awesome Best car app ever! |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Huh Why does it say "free"??? |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: Too expensive for an app |
[2012-11-24] A Google User: Trash Great app, had trouble after purchase to activate. The app is simple to use and looks Kool! |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: Great It seems better than Torque! |
[2012-11-17] A Google User: Not bad I wish it was easier to customize the dashboard and to add gauges not available by default. |
[2012-11-17] A Google User: Can't log in Password or log is right ? App works good |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: S3. 4.1.1 More like a trial |
[2012-11-06] A Google User: Cannot even buy the app It asks you to register on their website before you can buy it. But the stupid website won't allow you to register. And the application won't let you login after registering. Fail. |
[2012-11-03] A Google User: Ok.. Was working well before sampling other skins. Now my gas mileage is through the roof. I think it has something to do with how gas is entered/ calculated. Wish I could reset this back to default to start over. Please fix, will use Torque in the meantime. |
[2012-11-02] A Google User: Just get torque and don't waste your time It takes longer to set up the app than the time allowed for evaluation. In reviewing it quickly, before the evaluation period ended, it was apparent that torque is better. Not worth installing. |
[2012-10-30] A Google User: Precisa comprar Nao serve para nada se nao comprar o aplicativo |
[2012-10-27] A Google User: Dsg It almost perfect |
[2012-10-26] A Google User: Sux |
[2012-10-25] A Google User: Great App I can read my codes and don't need to bother my husband every time I am nervous the light turns on |
[2012-10-23] A Google User: Sucks Filed out car info for 20 min. later it dont even work. |
[2012-10-21] A Google User: No good Torque works much better, this is difficult to configure and has a clumsy interface |
[2012-10-20] A Google User: Dodge Great app!!!!! |
[2012-10-16] A Google User: Lots of features. Custom for the built in Nexus 7 we mounted in the car. The program is making a great instrument package! |
[2012-10-14] A Google User: Great I've been using dashcommand forever. Never had any issues. Does what it says and does it well. Way better than a standalone scan tool for checking and clearing codes, and awesome for autocrossing and track days. |
[2012-10-14] A Google User: Get torque pro instead Very ordinary. I don't think this works well at all. |
[2012-10-12] A Google User: Best Ever I love this app! |
[2012-10-09] A Google User: Not free Not free, have to create an account and then it doesn't tell you how much it costs |
[2012-10-07] A Google User: Not free, demo = 1 minutes. If you install it, you will remove it the next day ! |
[2012-10-05] A Google User: Thank G-- I read the reviews first NO WAY THIS IS WORTH $50.00 AFTER A FEW MINUTES OF USE, THIS APP NAGS YOU TO DEATH AND THEN QUITS Sure glad I read the truth in the reviews before I registered INSTEAD I UNINSTALLED |
[2012-09-30] A Google User: joke what a joke, very sneeky do not fall for the free scam. make you pay at their site and not with google |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: Good Good |
[2012-09-26] A Google User: Not Free This is NOT FREE. Features limited at best without purchase. Keeps locking up till you pay through a non Google site. Less then 1 min of data befor if makes you buy. Purchase is $50!!! Get Torque. Same features for $5 and developer listens to users. Developer- if you want users and buyers you have to treet them fair. 1min of use is a joke. 1 hour would not kill you and let people eval the program. I WILL DELETE THIS PROGRAM AND STEAR OTHERS AWAY!!! |
[2012-09-23] A Google User: Not free |
[2012-09-19] A Google User: Not free As others have said, this is not a free app. |
[2012-09-18] A Google User: Depends on vehicle Some vehicled display more info than others.. |
[2012-09-17] A Google User: Great Good replacement for gauges |
[2012-09-14] A Google User: Flashy but not free Suggests this is free but its not. Looks good, connects easily but torque gives the same info for less. |
[2012-09-14] A Google User: Dash Comand Driver luckypop say: is very nice sistem and wish my car Acura Rsx have one |
[2012-09-14] A Google User: Great apparently but nothing is worth $50. Great application. A little delayed but it is adjustable. I was ready to buy but found out it was $50 and now am uninstalling. |
[2012-09-13] A Google User: Great app This works great. |
[2012-09-11] A Google User: NOT FREE DO NOT INSTALL They trick you into downloading the software since its marked free and does not state otherwise anywhere until you install and you have to go to their website and pay ~$50 for the android license. If they want to charge for the app then fine do it threw the google play store not threw a different store where google can't inforce the rules |
[2012-09-08] A Google User: Keeps locking up |
[2012-09-07] A Google User: RIP OFF! |
[2012-09-03] A Google User: Best app Best application out there. After update its lil tricky, to register. But overall best app out there |
[2012-09-03] A Google User: Can't test I have a blue tooth device that works great with torque. But won't work with this. I should not have to buy a recommended device simply to test it. |
[2012-09-02] A Google User: Not at All As Advertised This app is unusable. Even trying to do an honest eval is impossible. |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Expensive & deceptive Expensive & try to hide the cost. Deceptive. |
[2012-08-31] A Google User: Not free. Doesn't work. Does not work unless you register it, which costs an outrageous amount of money. Just use torque or ecu tracker instead. |
[2012-08-29] A Google User: Read the directions. I bought this last year. I read the directions and i was able to setup an account and get rid of the adds once i activated the app on their site. |
[2012-08-29] A Google User: ***DECEPTIVE MARKETING*** SEE REVIEWS POST 7/20/12 This app is not free as it appears to be in the Google Play Store. See all the negative reviews post 7/20/2012 when the latest update was created. Once you start the app it notifies you that it is an evalutaion license and it asks you to go to a NON GOOGLE site to pay. |
[2012-08-28] A Google User: Evaluation mode This app is not free, very misleading! |
[2012-08-26] A Google User: You try to support the developers... ...and they screw you. I paid for this app and now I cannot use it unless I am logged into their website. In order to do that you have to supply them with information about you. I doubt the connection to the site is secure. Yea piracy sucks but loosing paying customers sucks even more. What you've done is ridiculous. You've made it to where the only way to use this app IS to have a pirated copy! I also have all your other software. Bought and paid for. Hundreds of dollars spent. What a waste of my time. |
[2012-08-25] A Google User: nd1 I already purchased before, but don't update dc v3.1.0 its very difficult to login!!! Over protective!!! |
[2012-08-25] A Google User: Overpriced Torque is a good alternative. This app has more bad reviews that I've seen in all the apps I use. |
[2012-08-20] A Google User: Not to shab Works great with my sti |
[2012-08-10] A Google User: Could never get it to work right After sever hours of playing around with it, I could never get it to work right and for the price it should automatically do EVERYTHING !!! I went and bought a simple code reader for half the price and it works great for what I needed it for. |
[2012-08-09] A Google User: Uses your GPS to target ads Targetted ads in the free version suck. Deleting. |
[2012-08-06] A Google User: CRASH! Crashed all the time! Cost t oo high! Rubbish. |
[2012-08-06] A Google User: Too expensive Now hides the cost behind in app purchase |
[2012-08-05] A Google User: Excelent Gauges and Easy to use on my CiViC SI works great in my 09 CiVIC Si using Galaxy S3 & ELM 327. Before leaving bad feedback read the email you got from them if you purchased it and follow steps. so easy its comments sense just copy the purchase I'd from the Google account thats the link that takes you to the page to pastebreciept id and you good to go whats so difficult its just click on link copy and paste receipt I'd and done |
[2012-08-05] A Google User: Awsome Awsome |
[2012-08-01] A Google User: Rubbish Its not free! Its very expensive. Using external registration. Even if this was once a good application, it is now rubbish. Move along, use another application. Plenty out there! I just bought a better and cheaper one. |
[2012-07-31] A Google User: I bought last year and can not redeem I bought the app over a year ago but now I can not use this app because the registering method won't accept my Google order number. I'm sticking with Torque because this is unacceptable. |
[2012-07-30] A Google User: Confusing sign up If you already purchased the app you do not need to buy again ....just use ur google checkout order number to register your act |
[2012-07-26] A Google User: Horrible update I loved this app, paid $30 for it and now I can't figure out how to re register it to clear my codes..Wtf?! |
[2012-07-24] A Google User: Use a different app. The latest update is garbage. It invalidates your licence and then doesn't even bother trying to explain that you need to do something to make the app work again. I'm sorry that people are pirating your app, but that's because you're seriously overcharging for it. There are equivalent apps on the market for 1/10 the cost. Instead of dealing with piracy in a reasonable way, they've decided to make life more difficult for the people, like me, who paid for the app. The only reason I paid their unreasonable fee is that they make the only OBD2 app that's compatible with my Pioneer AppRadio 2. Palmer, return the licencing to the old way or I'll be asking Google for a refund. You've made the app unusable unless I give you information that I'm not prepared to give you. |
[2012-07-22] A Google User: Works well It's expensive, considering i needed to buy the hardware too, the new update requiring us to log onto the Palmer site, and repurchasing something I already paid $50 for is attocious. |
[2012-07-22] A Google User: Best Wish i could flash my ecu with it. |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Not bad Good software but not impressed with having to re register cause u think its better as there was nothing wrong with google markets way of paying and registering the reasons you gave for the change are lame u just wanted to have control instead of google market so u loose one star for causing me inconvenience as i pay ur wages by purchasing the software to sort these things out without any inconvenience to me not the other way round |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: New account I was confused for a second, but clicking help had a very good sheet on how to get my promo code, no ads after I got my code. I emailed Palmer and was told you dont need constant internet sevice, once logged in one time you are good to go. Great product, keep it it up! |
[2012-07-20] A Google User: The latest update requiring an account is very frustrating. I've been using the app since it was in beta status. The biggest single issue has been refresh rates. There has been very little improvement in the past two years which I find odd from a company who's primary product line is vehicle diagnostics. No app meet all customer expectations but now that I'm required to create an account on the developers web site has left me confused. The goggle apps (google play) is completely open to developers selling product. This database which Google manages is more than enough for companies selling product to verify your status when an update is posted. Good luck PP. You will probably loose a large percentage of your customer base with this new requirement. Newest update requiring Palmer Performance account stinks. I've been a loyal customer and now my Android Tablet is full of ads while running Dash Commmand. DashCommand is the biggest "bang for the buck" on the Automotive Market and it works on any 1996 or newer vehicle. I own a 2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe. It's 2.0 Liter, Direct Injected Turbo, and has a lot going on due to it's complexity. My Instrument Cluster doesn't have near enough room for all the gauges you need to really keep you informed of wha |
[2012-07-12] A Google User: Good but crashes alot Crash alot on the first galaxy tab |
[2012-06-16] A Google User: No connection at all to my bluetooth OBDLink And took more than 15 minutes to find this out, so no refund. The refund issue is not the developer's fault (that's a crazy Google thing); but disappointed as checked out compatibility before purchase and my OBD device works well with other apps. Requested refund via Google Play - automated response (do not reply to this email...) that it's a FREE app?!?! WTF? Beginning to think this app is just a scam |
[2012-05-16] A Google User: Great app Only thing I don't enjoy is every so often it will crash but its all great 99% of the time. |
[2012-05-14] A Google User: Excellent This app is awesome every thing is working for me i hope they add hud (Head Up Display) function on it will be perfect |
[2012-05-13] A Google User: They don't respond to emails. 0 out of 5. I tried this out and it just wasn't what I needed. Unless you're a professional, most of the features you can't use. I emailed asking nicely for a refund and they never replied back. They don't offer a free trial version. This same exact app on Amazon is $10 less. Apparently this app use to be $19.95 because I found a few review about it and stating that was the price. It appears they keep jacking up the price ever so slowly. Some reviews even say $39.95. End result, unless you're a professional don't spend this much for this app. You can get the exact same features in other apps for $5.00. Those apps also have a much easier and more friendly UI. Horrible company and service. They took my money and ran. |
[2012-05-08] A Google User: Poor Nothing function |
[2012-05-01] A Google User: Nice |
[2012-04-25] A Google User: Excellent Not a Snap-on Veris or Motis, but very good at simple diag. with some live data. I use casio Commando and any OBDII blue tooth DLC to trouble shoot, read and erase codes.. well worth the money |
[2012-04-01] A Google User: Samsung Galaxy Note w/BT-1 Nothing function!!!!!!!!! $39?????? |
[2012-03-04] A Google User: Ok Good tell force close |
[2012-03-02] A Google User: Awesome Good to track childs driving habits |
