This minimalistic bowling game was a prototype for the control scheme used for the iOS and Android versions of HyperBowl and was created with the Unity game engine and Unity demo assets, the MacXWare Font Library, AdMob plugin from Prime31 Studios, and GUIKit001 from gameassets.net. The Fugu Games and Technicat logos were created by Shane Nakamura Designs.

This app uses the Unity game engine. Tested on a Samsung Vibrant (Galaxy S) with Android 2.2 (Galaxy S with Android 2.1 does not work). Devices compatible with Unity include:

Contrails has been designed to collect information for scientific research as you play the game. This information is sent back to a server at UC Berkeley and used to reconstruct your game. A multi-level medieval war game for the astute tactitian. Train your soldiers [on the Left]  and send them to battle the enemies [on the Right]. At your command are Swordsmen, Spearmen, Knights & Archers. The Objective is to capture the Enemy's Castle.

Earn enough credits to deploy the following units:

* Swordsmen    [  5 credits ]
* Spearmen     [ 10 credits ]
* Knights      [ 20 credits ]
* Archers      [ 40 credits ]

Credits are incremented by 20 every few seconds (experience points) and also added for each enemy killed.

Strategy & Tactics:

1. Deliberately fight prolonged battles in the lower levels so as to collect as many credits as possible. Use these credits to your advantage in the upper levels to deploy more archers and knights. Be careful about deploying too many archers in the early levels as this can wipe out your credits.

2. Try to quickly capture at least half the battle field. This gives you a strategic advantage as it prevents enemy from releasing many soldiers which can be deadly especially if they are archers or knights.

3. Archers are very powerful when grouped, where they can release an almost continuous stream of arrows. This is how you win the higher level battles.

The field is filled with 7 kinds of objects. You can swap adjoining 2 objects, and the objects is erased if 3 or more same-kind-objects are aligned by swapping. Or the swapping is canceled if no object is erased.
If the erasing count reaches the norm, the level increases and time left is extended 15 seconds. If time left becomes 0, the game is over.
You can customize the appearance of objects by preparing an image which is 72×72 pixels.
