Pirates and Traders: Retro! (v. 1.5.3)

Sail the Caribbean in this turn-based strategy/role-playing game. Will you be peaceful trader, traveling from island to island with goods trying to exploit circumstances of high supply and demand? Or will you be a rapacious pirate, waging war on sea and on land against the enemies of your country. You decide!

Compared to the new version of Pirates and Traders, Retro features simpler, more streamlined trade/piracy gameplay without most of the RPG elements.

Features:
- Play an open-ended pirate strategy game
- Capture and plunder enemy ships for treasure
- Raid heavily fortified ports
- Buy and sell goods in the carribean
- Customize your pirate with 5 skills
- Sail the Carribean in any of 20 historical ships

This is the old version of the "Pirates and Traders" game, re-released on the Android market for the benefit of those who prefer the version 1 game play over that of version 2. This version of the game is no longer actively maintained, though - time permitting - I will try to fix any bugs that remain. Contact us by e-mail with any bug reports.

"Pirates and Traders: Retro!" is ad-supported. If you would prefer to play without ads, get "Pirates and Traders: Retro Gold!"

Proper old school Got this game when it first came out onto the market, as updates came out the game lost it's innocence but when I saw the retro version... happy days 5* for re-releasing the original.

Good, addicting game! This game is a great one. It becomes more enjoyable as you get to grips with it, I've been hooked during spare time the last few days! Only problem I've encountered is force closure at ranom, though game allows short period auto saves, soit is no great inconvenience.

Retro: AWESOME As corny as this sounds: I love the adventure! Pillaging and Plundering like there's no tomorrow really helps get my mind off things..... Great job guys... If you haven't played this version, well u kinda suck, but I strongly recommend the retro...(Saves you a whole lotta memory)

Fun game! As others have said, I prefer the retro to the current version. For one thing, the manual is relevant to the game. Skills and such make more sense. I don't care much about the graphics in the new version.

MULTIPLAYER It needs it and custom flags so u can tell who controls what port in multiplayer o and a button so that you can conquer for your self and not your country. And when u take it over online u can increase price off products there and put blockades and add more men to the port

Would give this game 5 stars if it didn't force close so much. Also, after I play it for a while, the option of visiting the taverns disappears. That's very frustrating.
