In a Permanent Save State (v. 1.0) Разработано Benjamin Poynter |
[[UPDATE SOON. Optimization for Android (from Apple) interface and full soundtrack! I have listened to concerns and they will be fixed]].
Those who purchased the 99c version will have their contribution donated to a tribute cause in awareness raising. The physical money itself will be used as an offering to the US embassy in China and I am in no way benefiting fiscally. I will email those involved specifically for blessing, possible refund, or both as the project involves minimal further participation. Thank you.
A cerebral, fantasy driven application about events that are true and currently exist. In a Permanent Save State is a game that falls into the evolving category of 'serious games' or if you will 'games for change'. The interconnected narrative it tells sheds nameless perspective upon the Western spectacle vs. the Eastern dream. Furthermore, has a root in cultural truisms which define the aesthetic and faith for those involved. There is an effort made to deconstruct these notions and the video game form itself. Those who assemble the dreams of this world now have their own at a devastating cost.
[2013-01-06] A Google User: Very cool! Needs those updates badly, but otherwise very nice game :P |

[2012-12-07] A Google User: Sound of silence Thank you for speaking out what they cannot speak |
[2012-11-23] A Google User: Doesn't work Won't open 4.2 JOP40C |
[2012-11-22] A Google User: Superb presentation A few teething issues don't detract much from this 'experience', praise which few games on the play store are worthy of. |
[2012-11-20] A Google User: Doesn't start at all I'm using Galaxy Nexus 4.2 AOSP |
[2012-11-19] A Google User: Stuck at second stage as well... Same as others. Four stars for aesthetics. Five once its fixed. This is such a unique experience, it would be a pity to not be able to finish the whole story. Thanks. |
[2012-11-18] A Google User: Pretty art, unplayable controls |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Does not open |
[2012-11-16] A Google User: Unique game 5/5 Unique game 5/5 The controls change every level. Try tilting your phone/tablet. And learn to read... it's the U.S. Embassy in China.... |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: Great graphics Really great graphics. I am will to pay, but I think there are better organizations to donate than the Chinese embassy. Also noticed the glitch on control . |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: Unusual game that should be judge as exactly that Controversy aside - this is an amazingly designed game. There are bugs and some are bad but Its an interesting take on an idea, looks amazing and has a melancholy feel to it that you don't get too often. These are good enough reasons to play this one. |
[2012-11-14] A Google User: Unoptimized and currently unplayable Edit: fix is on the way apparently. Hope it works out! Seems really interesting, creative, and thought provoking. But the optimization is horrible. It chugs so bad on my nexus it's not even playable... |
[2012-11-13] A Google User: Buggy Unfortunatelly, I can't progress beyond the second level because the controls don't work anymore at this stage! Still, I like this game since it's an unusual approach to this topic, for its original visuals and the beautiful music. |
[2012-11-13] A Google User: Very buggy, yet disturbingly intriguing The developer needs to clean this messy app up. I've gotten all the way to phase 5 but the level is completely unplayable. The character is unmovable and the objective is completely unclear. Oh, and the game doesn't save at all, not sure if that's intended or not though. I will say that the games atmosphere is very deep and disturbing and I completely support and approve of its motive. Just please fix this incomplete port. |
[2012-11-13] A Google User: Awesome but lacking I was so excited when I saw this game was released for Android. I've played to the second level but couldn't control anything. Also, for a game a out save states it really needs a save state. Maybe the author intends you to play through all at once? I imagine it's a short game. |
[2012-11-13] A Google User: I'm buying this game to support this developer. Welcome to Google Play. For $1.20NZD, it is like a donation toward a greater good. Though I'm stuck at phase 2. The game does not seems to save the progress at all. Also please do a 720p version. |
[2012-11-13] A Google User: Broken on Android 4.2 Game starts on the splash page then shuts down. Please make this compatible with 4.2 SDK. |
[2012-11-13] A Google User: Small issues First off thanks for bringing this to android, I've actually wantes to try it for a while. Everything appears to be working with an exception of the lag spikes in the second level. I also managed to skip past a large portion of story since the button hyper drived it when pressed. The only other thing I've run into was that the music was still playing about a minute or two after it was closed. I'll be watching for updates and thank you again for this. |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: Awesome and creative game |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: Such a sad game.. its a beautiful looking game but sad. Very informative though. |
[2012-11-12] A Google User: Copied and pasted They didn't till t time to port this game right, everytime you'll exit the game you'll have to start from the beginning, they didn't took time to change the dpi's screen game is small.......like as big as an iphone...yeah small. Fix it. |
