Hatchi is a retro-looking Android app **now with widget** sure to get the nostalgia burning for all those who cared for a virtual pet back in the 1990s when they were at the height of their popularity. Just as with the keychain-sized pets of the 90s, you can now feed, clean, play with and generally look after your pets to ensure they grow up to be healthy, happy little Hatchis.

Your Hatchi monster will go through several stages of growth, and will evolve

Really good! I loved these pets as a kid. So glad to find one for my phone as an adult. Hahaha! I would update my rating if playing games would increase happiness. Everything else seems to increase happiness but games. :( Customized colors? No... Just a random color or one that you purchase.

Don't feed the Dev greed Stick to the free version, this guy sells the game and builds it around an in game coin for $ system and every thing costs so many coins like a lousy background for 750 coins.

Takes me back to my school days. I tried the free version of this app and really liked it so decided to buy the full version considering it only cost around 65p which is a dam fair price, if you are a fan of these retro pets then I would definitely recommend buying this, Iv`e been looking for a decent virtual pet on the market for a while now but this by far is the best out there to which I have found and seems to have been professionally made, it also has ongoing updates so it can only get better in time. Great Pet :D

Very enjoyable I love this game. I've had my hatchi for over 100 days now, and it's like my baby! The only thing I would say is it's irritating how the apple version gets updated faster than the android version, so when my friends get all the new stuff it is frustrating, however you do eventually get them... It just takes time. Highly recommend regardless :)

Just like the good ole' days It's a great throwback to my preteen years, that's for sure. It runs smoothly and it has everything one would want in a virtual pet like this. Now that we can get Mystery Eggs, we can get new Hatchi's. Now, when can we breed Hatchi's?

License? Let's me hatch an egg and name it but then says it can't find the license for the game. Uninstalled then reinstalled but it did the same thing.. huge disappointment as i was looking forward to playing this game :(

Not bad I really like this app but like the tamagotchi's they should be able to have babies and show generations, I'd pay even more money if they could do that and also better mini games. You spend all the time with the hatchi then you can just "release" it? Bit boring, should be able to reproduce then would be # 1 app

Good, but Could be Better I like this app; it definitely brings me back to my Tamagotchi days and the extra features (i.e., different backgrounds, Hatchi colours) are a nice touch. However, I'm very surprised that a Hatchi has only eight final evolutions... this makes the game get monotonous quickly, unless you regularly add new evolutions, which would be very nice. Also, I've heard that there is a "mysterious egg" that can produce unique Hatchis, but it's only on the Apple version. Please do not neglect your Android customers!

Grate I love this app it was only a few $ a real keychan pet was 20$! This was worth ever ¢ ! I named her zima and she is my babby I allomst never close the app! I love her sooo much! This app is very cute and highly addictive! I cried for real when I gave her medicine by mistake! it's that realistic!!!!!! I love the retro look of this app!!!!! But I would still be nice to be able to pet her by touching the screen!

Nice Played the free version for a few hours then decided it was exactly what I was looking for and bought it. Sadly, it evolved twice into the wrong evolution following the weight it read but hopefully this is a bug that they'll sort out in the future. Overall not really bothered about evolutions as the original is exceedingly cute enough as it is. Will recommend the game as a nice reminder of old tamagotchis with just the right features added to it. Wish you could raise more than one at a time but works just fine for now.

Wtf Had free version and its cute and i enjoyed enough to purchase full version. Free version never had an ad and now that I've paid my game is interrupted by ads. Also there is no noticeable difference between free and paid (other than you get ads once you've paid) Get the free version or don't bother.

Almost exactly like Tamogotchis It is an awesome game lots of fun. You have to keep track of it every day and make sure Its fed. They could make the game more fun and there are lots of ways they can do that! They could add potty training, new foods, more games, interactive games with your Hatchi, games you can play with other people, definitely more evolutions, breeding to get special breeds and evolutions, More ways to earn coins, and ways to customize your Hatchi widget and the backgrounds in the game

Very nice app but it still has a few problems First of all, Scarlet is right… my evo chart was wrong too. Or let's say, you can't really bet on it. Apart from that, the games are a little bit unbalanced (you can make 20.000 coins in 15m with Hatchi Squares (and the back button) or 1.000 with Whack-A-Hatchi in the same time). (Personally) I would love it when the Hatchi falls to sleep by himself (like on the real 90's keychain deal), so you just have to turn the light off. Brings back memories At 29 years old I thought id be too old for this ap but it brought back such memories of tamagotchi's from the 90's. You get surprisingly attached to the little hatchi although think i may get bored eventually. My 2 boys like watching it grow. Was nice to have a blast from the past.

Adorably Classic Update: 3/5 Widget is nice, though not the best size-- I think it would be better with a smaller version and/or one that takes up the full screen. Also, I'm really not too pleased at the inclusion of in-app billing for coins. I understand the items are not necessities, but the addition of paying for coins in an already paid-app is a bit of a low blow. Previous Review: 5/5 Though a widget would be awesome, it's not a necessity. The game hasn't had any issues on my phone with either stock or custom rom; it looks and sounds authentic with non-aggravating sounds which is more than I can say for some other virtual pets out there. Overall, great app!

Great app with great potential I think this app stays true to the simplicity of 90s virtual pets which is great. On the other hand, it would be a lot of fun to see more varied ways to interact with your hatchi. Such as different games increasing different health values, giving them more varied expressions and sprite animations, etc. The animations for playing with your pet to improve 'active' and 'smart' are very shallow. They could easily be replaced by actual games. I also have lofty hopes for a hatchi2hatchi interaction mirroring the latter tamagotchi infrared capabilities. It would be fun to have an incentive to convince friends to install hatchi as well.

Update fixed everything This game has gotten so much better since the update,and is for sure worth the buck it costs.my only problems are: 1.the game gives you very little money and items cost a fortune. 2.you can only put adult hatchis in the forest sanctuary. Also, if you want to make a lot of money fast,set the tic tac toe game to easy and 1 round and then play it a bunch. The ai is REALLY stupid and you get 40 coins every time you win.and you will most likely win everytime

This is the best there is? Original Tamagotchi had much more functuality, animations are limited to about 2-3 unique sprites per Hatchi.. Boredom will ensue. Still I keep it around because it has potential. Coin items are too expensive, please at least fix that.
