Love it, love it, love it! (9.5/10!!!) I don't write many reviews on apps, but I felt obliged to write for this game. Game Dev Story is thoroughly thought out, and written beautifully. I forgot to do my business assignment because I was so addicted to this! It may cost money, but out of all the apps I've bought, this has been very much worth it. If I HAD to critique it for somethings, it would be that the 14-character limit when naming, is stupid. My game name is 10-characters long in itself! Also, when staff leave at the end of their shift, the clock is still normal, and therefore it takes staff on day and a bit to leave the store. It's the same when returning. The critics are super strict, but that's ok. It adds the challenge. 5-stars!!! :D

Fantastic Game for the Game Nerd in All of Us FGOL did a wonderful job with Game Dev Story. Its art direction is gorgeous, gameplay is simple, and it's addicting as hell. Played through it 3 times now, and still coming back for more :)

Amazingly Fun!!! This is by far one of my favorite mobile games I just wish they had like a sponser system in the game.... or lower the cost of new console license so you wouldnt end up in pinches half the time but still by far my favorite

Love it I almost never review games I buy but this deserves it, too many good things to write about this. My one only real complaint is how often the equipment failure and power outages happen, I just tried to make 3 games in a row and it one of the two occurred everytime. I wish there was a way to prevent this cause it almost cuts your teams progress in half.

Very enjoyable, highly addictive. Pros: Simple yet supprisingly deep, with a focus on amusing little details that is quite endearing. It's also got a consistant art style, like all of Kairosofts games, which fits well with the gameplay. Cons: Addictive as hell, its actually kinda hard to stop playing once you get going. Seems to eat up a lot of battery (but the on a 1st gen Galaxy Note what dosen't?) And it's a shame that it only covers a decade in the main storyline. You can continue in freeplay but I'd prefer a bit more length to it.

Please fix! This game is incredible, but I recently reinstalled it after a 3 month break and can only get to about Year 2 Month 12 when I get a fan letter from Bobby Anderson. As soon as the letter is closed, an error message pops up and the game force closes. Once this is fixed, I have no problem giving 5 stars.

Game breaking bug, don't get it. The game is great but as long as you received your first "fan letter," the game will crash. There seems to be no way to fix it. Please return my money.

Not horrible, but... I'm not impressed. It's not really fun because you have very little true control. Many things are simply chance-based and there's NO fun in that if you're not doing well. If I'm doing badly in a real game, I can rethink my strategy, readjust, and try again. There's challenge and incentive. In this "game," I have to save before each event, cross my fingers and hope really hard, then check results. Failed? Reload and repeat until I pass. How is that a game? I'm basically just flipping a coin. Not worth $2.50.

Best mobile game ever, but... This is one of the best mobile games ever released, until it asks me to revalidate the purchase (?), at which point I have to uninstall and then reinstall, losing all my progress, which, in this game, is really important. Better Than Expected I never thought I would find a Game Dev Tycoon clone on android but I am pleasantly surprised. This game is easy to pick up on and master, especially if you have played previous games from this developer. Cute, fun, and full of content, I managed to flow through a full game with ease. I would recommend it to any fans of tycoon style gameplay. Definitely worth the $2.50 price tag for hours of entertainment. My only suggestion would be to integrate with Google play services to allow competing with friends.

Keeps device awake. This game looks terrible, only takes up a small part of the screen, has bad sound design, and it's glitched on the Nexus 7 and Samsung Galaxy Note II. It keeps the devices awake all the time, draining the battery much quicker even when the screen is off.

Awesome game Needs some additions though, it gets to the point where I have too much money and have won the grand prize. Need achivments and also how do you develope a console? I see that you need a engineer but I can't find one. Also some types and genres don't make sense, like mini skirt. Who the f makes a game about a mini skirt? Lol great game though, should make a second or expand the game.
