Chess Online lets you play the classic board game of Chess against other players anywhere in the world!

Chess Online is part of the Resonos Games Network, a collection of online multiplayer abstract strategy board games. The collection currently includes Chess, Checkers, Reversi, and Connect4 Pop.  Each game is offered individually for free, or you can pay a small price for all four fun games in one package.

The network has a comprehensive set of features allowing users to compete and interact, including:

    * Timed games
    * Long-term games that you can leave and resume at will
    * Notification for when it is your turn to play in a long-term game
    * Standardized ELO scoring
    * Leaderboards and user game statistics
    * Global and in-game chat
    * User profiles and avatars
    * Friends and messaging

Additionally, while the focus of Board Games Online is to play, well, online, it offers an offline system to allow you to play with friends locally or against your Android phone.

Bad Really slow to load things, quite bad. It obviously isn't very popular because I was the only person online! This has the potential to be a great app, but it needs a lot of work.

Chess Online Good time waster, but a very weak program. I can checkmate the toughest level in just a few moves, and I'm only around a 1500 level player.

So close Great game in the proposed functioning but falls a a bit flat in execution. It is very buggy and won't come up after you leave it for a little while, forcing you to go and manually kill it at the task manager. Doesn't actually notify half the time when doing a long game as promised. Expect to uninstall as soonas I find a better one that has notifications.

Exits without warning Playing the game human vs human if you're passing the phone and someone hits the back button it quits the game without warning. Also there is no option to turn off auto rotate to have the board remain stationary after each turn. It makes it an in hand game instead of on a table.

Silly Simple My favorite chess game. I gave a 4 star raiting only because it takes so long to get a notification that it is your turn. Fix that and I would gladly give this a solid 5 star.

Poor online experience The online experience requires some updating. Short duration games can start after you log off. There is no way to cancel a game request. The game should cancel short duration requests when you logoff. If you are afk the server selects a random move for you. Find something else if you are serious about chess.
