Better Kings is a two-game variation of the popular drinking game King's Cup. It includes Kings and Kings Cup. This app is perfect for situations that involve alcohol but no cards, like the airport or a picnic. King's Cup is also known as Ring of Fire, Circle of Death, Sociables and the King’s Game.

Better Kings aims to be exactly what its name implies: a better version of Kings for the Android system. Please feel free to comment or email with suggestions for improvement or new rules.

Better Kings supports two Kings games, King's Cup and King's Beer. To start, get an empty cup for King's Cup or a full beer for King's Beer, and place it in the center of the table. Each player takes a turn drawing a new card, and everyone at the table must follow the rule associated with that card. Better Kings will display the rule at the bottom right of the screen, and you can click the text for a popup display of the rule. In King's Cup, each time a player drinks they must pour a little of their drink into the center cup. When a king is drawn, that player must drink the center cup. In King's Beer with a real deck of cards, all discarded cards are slotted into the tab of a beer can. Whichever player cracks open the beer with their card must drink the beer. Better Kings fakes this using random numbers for each card.

The free version is ad-supported and has fixed rules. There will be a paid version coming soon that has no ads and allows you to customize the rule for each card.

This Tarot trumps project was originally published with Museo dei Tarocchi (Italian museum and tarot publisher) in a limited edition 500 copies.

"Tarocchi di connessione" means "connection tarot" and enphasize the idea of "connecting" figures, symbols, meanings, events, thoughts, memories...that is inside TAROT, and also a peculiarity of visual language through images/pictures: putting together images and figures forming properly created to form a system of interactive meanings.

This is a personal interpretation of the 22 Major Arcana, with dreamy, symbolic, surreal, pagan, magical, mythical influences.

TarotBot Android Tarot Reader

TarotBot is an open source framework for tarot readings on Android devices with switchable card decks and interpretations.

The interface, which re-presents tarot, was designed with the primary goal to only draw from the physical artifacts (the deck of cards) those attributes which are meaningful to the reading: imagery, interpretations, and context. The traditional shuffling, dealing, and arranging of the cards is removed from the process allowing a much more streamlined reading experience to emerge. The experience may lack some traditional elements but conducting readings for one’s self, especially on the go, is far from traditional.

While other tarot apps seek to replicate the experience of tarot cards TarotBot aims to evolve tarot into a new medium.
When tarot is most effective is when one uses intuition to interpret the cards, however interpretations are provided to help anyone unfamiliar with tarot.  These are a synthesis of experience and research conducted during development.

The LiteraTarot decks are the brain-child of the Italian Museo dei Tarocchi. In 2008 the theme of their yearly collaborative decks was the great classics of literature, and a deck was put together in each of the continents. The American deck was hosted by Arnell Ando.
