I can understand lousy passing when you have a poor passing hand, but on numerous occasions my computer partner did not pass me a one card hit for a rope...even when he had double queens. Additionally, when the computer partner took the bid, he would pass me aces when he could have had aces around. Very frustrating. |

[2013-06-03] A Google User: Decent enough People rating one star because they prefer double deck pinochle are beyond absurd. The game doesn't suck just because you prefer another variation. Does it have its flaws? Yes. The ai rarely passes run cards, favoring off aces instead, and getting it to pass pinochle cards is impossible. But it's fast enough and the play is good to pass fifteen minutes or so. |

[2013-05-01] A Google User: So-So I'm really enjoying that there is a pinochle game out there to play. As mentioned in previous posts - the AI users aren't very skilled. They quite often hold cards I need when I win the bid and they never seem to 'get it' that they should generally hold a trump for last hand - they're always coming out with something like a 9 of an off suit. I've also noticed that there is a glitch with the meld - not all of the cards that count are laid down. For example; I just played a round and the opponent laid down a 10 K Q J 9 9 in trump.... no Ace!! Yet the first card he played out was the Ace. I've seen this glitch happen many times, various scenarios. All the points get counted, just the cards don't display in the meld. |

[2013-04-27] A Google User: Could be much better The good: I love playing single deck pinochle so I use this app to get my daily fix when bored. The bad: the computers do not play very well and are pretty bad at leading bids. The partner often chooses trump in suits that it has no aces or tens. Bidding also remains very low so the poor playing often meets the bids, making this game not much of a challenge. |

I can't even remember how to bid right with single deck let alone the bidding and the partner bidding is crappy at best. We need a double deck version like that available with the iphone! |

Kind of funny actually when AI runs trump it runs it all leaving itself with none and actually sets itself often because of it. Uninstalled because its worthless. |

It will ALWAYS EVERYTIME keep one or both and your left one short of the run in spades or diamonds. Call hearts or clubs or if you call spades have the q or call diamonds if you have the j. I only play this because pinochle is my favorite card game. and three stars is generous, cause i love the game, not this app. |

[2013-02-25] A Google User: AI is garbage! Also need shoot the moon option. I have been playing this game religiously since i downloaded it, and the computer AI is TERRIBLE! Multiple times the computer will keep 2 queens of spades when I call spades trump. I guess it's hoping for the 300. Dumb. Tonight, I decided to pass on the bid and let my partner take it. Dumb. It called for spades as trump, so I passed A, 10, K, J of spades. It proceeds to pass back two jacks of trump and a pinochle...all to keep some marriages. And that's not all. It also had the OTHER pinochle. Dumb |

[2013-02-21] A Google User: Pinochle Needs lots of work. Bid page Will cover Your score sheet with the bid emblem so you can't tell what is happening. It is not easy to tell who won the bid. When melds are displayed cards are missing, for example an ace might be missing in the shown meld of 100 aces. The person has the other ace and it is counted in the meld. The worst part is when you win the bid and you partner doesn't pass you a trump card needed for your run. Didn't pass me the ace of trump, passed the 9 rather than Queen of trump. |

[2013-02-21] A Google User: Its something to do? If the AI in the game was a real person I would beat them to death just because its SO stupid. You have to play against your own partner! It splits up pinochles! The most points you can get for meld. It bids high in suits it has few cards in. From time to time cards will come back after you play it? As for dealing the cards its like a rut for hands you cant get a decent hand no matter what you do. If you get a good deal on the first hand most of the game it stays that way. |

[2013-02-04] A Google User: Bad Partner I had to delete the app as I can't take playing with such a bad partner. They don't play the way a partner should. They dont pass properly, they don't play trump out and they play out their hand all wrong especially by running themselves outta trump, not trying to take the last trick, plays a trump counter knowing there are higher trump cards still out and is all around a terrible partner. This app also needs an automatic set option when you or the other team cannot pull enough meld to make the bid. |

[2013-01-29] A Google User: A deeply flawed gem A portion of the email I sent to the developer: Problems: Dealer button covers scoring; Melds display incomplete; Even if I am (or AI is) the only one holding trump, I still have to play out the rest of the tricks; AI partner does not pass parts of the pinochle if diamonds or spades is called as trump (this allows the AI to meld a pinochle, and keeps me from melding a family/run); AI sometimes prioritizes passing Aces instead of trump; AI partner bids against me too much (A human player would recognize a substantial leap in bid amount as a signal to stop bidding); If AI partner gets the bid, it passes off-trump Aces to me instead of the off-trump 9s; In the play-off, the partner AI will not drop points when it should, but then drops those points on the opponents tricks when it didn’t have to; Sometimes when you decide to start a new game in the middle of a hand in play, the game doesn’t know what to do. This happens particularly when the meld is being displayed. It will not deal. You must exit the game and restart. Things I would add to a paid version of the game: 3-hand and double deck pinochle; Different deck options; AI difficulty options. |

If you want to play pinochle on your phone it's the only app available. For this reason only I use it. With the bid starting at 18 it's fun to win all the time. However, if you want a challenge with a reliable partner this app is not for you. The passing rules used by your "partner" are frustrating to anyone with basic pinochle skills. And the adds are offensive. |

You can't have a partner who plays the 10 of trump on top of the opponent's 10 of trump...when he has losers to play. Also, hard to play the game when your partner doesn't pass/keep the pinochle cards appropriatly. That's the whole game. Literally. Other than this the game flow is great. Fix the bugs. Add a difficulty level that makes everyone smarter. |

A disaster when you need it for your run Partner will often return aces to you for the return pass- then go set. There is no option to set the minimum bid. Still fun to play as long as you know your partner is terrible. |

Make an option to save the game progress. Too often I have to exit in the middle of a game and there is no way to get that game back. Finally make the AI playing style an option.
