Omar Sharif Bridge (v. 4.00.05) Разработано ZingMagic Limited |
*** PLEASE NOTE ***
This product is the older version of Bridge and has a few less features and weaker game play than Omar Sharif Bridge 3. We recommend you check the new version before any purchase as Android Market does not facilitate upgrading from this version.
For those new to the product:
Omar Sharif Bridge could be the perfect game. Its ease of play marks it out as a firm favourite for casual gamers, whilst the huge depth of strategy and vast intricacies involved allow it to be a game that can be studied by the most serious card student.
Bridge is played by four players who form two partnerships. Players within a partnership face each other across the bridge table. Traditionally, the players are referred to by the points of the compass - North, East, South and West. The two partnerships are North/South and East/West. Games are played to the best of three. The winner is said to have won the "rubber". A game ends when one partnership scores 100 or more points below the line.
Featuring ACOL and Standard American bidding systems, Omar Sharif Bridge will challenge the most proficient player yet still allow the beginner to develop their game. Fantastic graphics and a strong and respected bridge engine allows players to become involved, stimulated and challenged with every deal.

[2013-04-09] A Google User: Very limited Very limited in all respects - its only an ap and I wasn't expecting anything too grand but this is just plain boring! Bidding is often nonsensical - not even the most basic ACOL and bidding for anything is usually biased at least 80% in favour of EW which means NS are mostly defending. Just can't be bothered with it anymore and have uninstalled it. The '3' version doesn't. look much better judging from the comments left. |
|
[2013-03-20] A Google User: Not good Crash, crash, crash, crash. Galaxy note ll. Dont touch the screen fir long enough for power saving to kick in during bidding then light it back up a wierd bid has happened and contract is decided, or it completely locks up. However plays and bids much better thsn any of tge free ones ive tried . If they released a demo of lll I would try but not buying due to this one |

[2013-03-03] A Google User: Omar Sharif Bridge Easy game to play. Wish there was some instruction on how to navigate the game. |
|
[2012-11-23] A Google User: Crooks High price. Another paid version at high price instead of upgrade. I call that being a crook. |
|
[2011-12-22] A Google User: Fairly good rubber bridge game It's definitely pretty good value for the money. The bidding is mostly logical once you figure it out, but some explanation of its bidding rules would help a little (perhaps as a "help" file within the app or on the developer's website). It does seem to know how to cuebid, which puts it ahead of many novice and even intermediate-level club players. Occasionally it passes what I think should be considered a forcing bid by a competent bridge player. Overall I would say it plays a fairly good game of "kitchen bridge" and is a pretty good time-killer. |

[2011-12-20] A Google User: iBridgeBaron is now available on Android. The best Bridge game for iPad/iPhone is now available on Android. Just search for Bridge Baron. |
|
[2011-09-08] A Google User: OK Since this is the ONLY canned bridge game available, its certainly worth the price. But Bridge Base Online is far superior on my droid and it's free |
|
[2011-08-31] A Google User: Disappointing compared with the iPhone version I had the iPhone version of this app, which I found to be very enjoyable. This version, however, is poor in comparison. It looks worse and is very buggy. It is also quite expensive for a game app, and is emphatically not worth the price without significant updates. Sorry. |
|
[2011-08-27] A Google User: Very weak play The AI engine still needs a lot of improvements; the computer players are just at the beginner level. I guess bridge and Go software is hard to do. |
|
[2011-08-23] A Google User: Entertaining but flawed It's nice to have a Bridge game on Android, but this one's far from ideal - UI flaws, some terrible gaps in conventions (no weak 2s), bad cardplay... |
|
[2011-06-27] A Google User: Plays very weak bridge. No 2/1 or strong club. No conventions above Jacoby transfers or Stayman. Someone please port bridge baron or a BBO client. |

[2011-05-30] A Google User: Beware! Charged Twice The game is fun, but I was charged twice for it and ZingMagic says they have nothing to do with it - and Google doesn't respond to my emails. I can't decide if it's worth filing a bunch of paperwork with my bank, so be careful! |

[2011-05-28] A Google User: Pleasant diversion Fun way to kill some time. Fun to play. I'm not a very good player, but even I can tell the AI is weak, though. (It just bid 3NT over my 3C preempt without a club stopper. I got six tricks off the top.) But, I'll keep playing! One annoyance: it order to keep the human's cards big enough to select with a finger, the game will split a suit onto two lines. Can be confusing. |
