[2013-08-12] A Google User: Excellent brain exercising puzzles What a great collection! No fancy graphics; instead, you get clutter-free presentation of a wide variety of logic-based puzzles. Where applicable you can change the size/number of elements, and difficulty level. Each game has brief but thorough instruction. The icing on the cake is that it is free and there are no ads, but I would gladly pay for it if required. If I was only able to have one game app on my device, this is the one I would choose. |
[2013-08-12] A Google User: You'll love it. All time favorite, now on Android. Yeaaa! |
[2013-08-04] A Google User: Good puzzles, but the Android app needs updating badly, as there are several new puzzles in the collection that simply aren't here. |
[2013-07-22] A Google User: Entertaining Simple games that can entertain for as long as you need a little mental stimulation. |
[2013-07-22] A Google User: Love it! played it first on my ubuntu laptop in 2009 and installed it since then on every linux system I installed. I'm so happy that it's available for android! |
[2013-07-16] A Google User: Highly recommended If you are looking for incredibly high replay and a wide variety of mind exercising games this is a wonderful collection. |
[2013-07-10] A Google User: Absolutely great set of games. Loved them in Ubuntu, love them in Android, even though some games are better suited for a mouse. |
[2013-06-24] A Google User: Best free game on Android! Enough said |
[2013-06-23] A Google User: Great fun Excellent little set of games, works very well for filling little bits of free time. |
[2013-06-18] A Google User: Buggy implementation of great games I love this collection on other platforms, and was delighted to see it on Android. Unfortunately, while a few play just fine, lots (rectangles, keen, untangle...) send the screen crazy on my Galaxy tab and are unplayable. |
[2013-06-12] A Google User: Great puzzles - however interface still needs some work The range and variety of puzzles along with the ability to customise your own size and complexity is fantastic. Unfortunately this is where the praise ends. It is obvious that these puzzle creative programs were designed for a computer rather than an android in regards to the fact no attempt has been made to make them android friendly. Here is what I would like to see in future updates: The ability to zoom in and out so as your screen size does not restrict you puzzle size; The ability to turn auto-check on and off; and finally get rid of the silly idea of holding down as an alternative to right clicking and instead offer an option to switch between drawing lines and marking blanks. If this was all done than I would happily change my review to 5 stars. At the moment though I am getting too frustrated at the limitations for someone who likes large complex puzzles over the smaller ones. |
[2013-06-11] A Google User: Best games collection- ever! |
[2013-06-08] A Google User: Best puzzle game ever! But it need better adaptation to phone screen. |
[2013-06-08] A Google User: Okay The puzzles are nice but I had to look all of them up to even understand what I was doing. |
[2013-05-25] A Google User: Fun Puzzles., high replay value I have been playing the different platform ports for years. I always come back for more. |
[2013-05-08] A Google User: Great games but not suited well to phones I really enjoy these games on a desktop but on a small screen it is often hard to use, especially for some games. A zoom feature would be very useful. |
[2013-05-05] A Google User: Been a fan for ages Also had this on my Nokia N900 - this is exactly the same, except with more puzzles. Probably the most versatile game application I've had. The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't work well on my phone with non-stock DPI |
[2013-04-27] A Google User: Yay Have this on puppy, now on Android too :) Go open-source :) |
[2013-04-23] A Google User: Hallelujah! Thanks for bringing one of my favorite iPhone games to Android! |
[2013-04-03] A Google User: I can now uninstall 60% of the games on my phone! I have had these games on every computer since Simon made them available. Thanks Chris for porting them to android. |
[2013-04-03] A Google User: Hands down the best puzzle app These are *real* puzzles, not weak sauce toys that have to add a move limit to make them challenging. Logic and a lot of thinking are required here. Many different puzzle varieties, and randomly generated puzzles makes for infinite replayability. Some of the puzzle interfaces could be improved. |
[2013-04-03] A Google User: Lots of engaging puzzles. Some may find the presentation a little plain, but I like it that way. |
[2013-03-24] A Google User: Works surprisingly well on rooted Nook Fun to play, simple graphics so it's nice and speedy, and a great collection of puzzles. |
[2013-03-19] A Google User: Great puzzles but hard to operate on touch screen I love these puzzles and play them on PC too. Unfortunately many require tapping more precise than I can manage with fingers on my tablet. |
[2013-03-10] A Google User: Wow!!! I found this app by accident, while looking for a specific type of puzzle game...now, i can't stop playing these puzzles. |
[2013-02-19] A Google User: Good port, great games. The main downside is I sometimes forget the controls.. like how to switch to entering hints in Towers. |
[2013-02-18] A Google User: Great puzzle game collection Been playing these games on and off for a few years and was extremely excited to see them available for my new android phone. Awesome on the galaxy note 2 with the s-pen. I would like some sort of timer to keep track of how fast I am completing the puzzles since I play some for speed, but can't fault it much for that considering that there was no timer in the original versions. |
[2013-02-16] A Google User: Awesome set I love these puzzles. Strongly recommended! |
[2013-02-08] A Google User: Love them |
[2013-02-05] A Google User: just super great simple. free. smooth. 34 great and classic games in one. 1.60 MBs I mean you cant ask for anything better This is better than all modern greedy ( full of ads ) games. seriously , great job. |
[2013-01-29] A Google User: Does not switch Does not switch between different games as it should :-( |
[2013-01-23] A Google User: UI could use work. I absolutely love these games on the computer, but the Android UI could be better. It's very finicky and hard to change type. |
[2013-01-20] A Google User: Superb I have always liked Simon G. Tatham collection of puzzles, and I was delighted when I saw it ported to Android. They are great, and they work perfectly. |
[2013-01-08] A Google User: Awesome collection Awesome collection of puzzles, my favorite is sign posts. =) |
[2013-01-07] A Google User: I love it Have played almost all puzzles to highest difficulty level |
[2012-12-01] A Google User: Broken It used to be great, but now it FC every time I try to open it. |
[2012-11-30] A Google User: Good stuff :) |
[2012-11-29] A Google User: Awesome set of simple but excellent puzzle games. Well done! |
[2012-11-25] A Google User: my favorite time killer i love them all |
[2012-11-15] A Google User: Bad interface! The puzzles are very difficult to navigate on a phone. |
[2012-11-10] A Google User: Best collection of puzzles I'm a huge fan of logic puzzles and this is the best collection with a really good interface and interaction. Highly recommended for hours of enjoyment or to pass a few minutes. |
[2012-11-02] A Google User: Great Lots of hours of mindless fun |
[2012-10-14] A Google User: Great Great puzzle collection |
[2012-09-30] A Google User: Awesome |
[2012-09-27] A Google User: full of various puzzles! |
[2012-09-27] A Google User: Awesome I played this on my friends laptop after school it was awesome and he said there's an app for it |
[2012-09-24] A Google User: Outstanding Nothing flashy, just the raw puzzles and some I had never seen before. I've had it for months and I'm still learning new ones. Nothing better for killing time on the airplane once they let you pull your phone out. Found it first on Android, then went and installed on Ubuntu. Open source license is much appreciated. |
[2012-09-19] A Google User: Nice work Simple UI to nice set of puzzles.Highly recommended. |
[2012-09-16] A Google User: Broken I can no longer change which puzzle I am playing. Whether I use the icon in the upper left or the "other game"button at the end of the game, I select a new type of game and am brought right back to the same game. I can only change the type of game by forcing stop sand clearing the app data.I've also experienced a few crashesand no report was sent even though I have the logging app. SGS2, rooted ICS. |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: Best game app All sorts of puzzles, including a sudoku clone that's better than any paid app. Free, no ads, no weird permissions. |
[2012-09-04] A Google User: Old Friend I have loved these puzzles for years on my laptop. What a pleasure it is to find them here for my new tablet. Addictive and highly recommended. |
[2012-09-03] A Google User: Fantastic Fantastic set of classic puzzles. |
[2012-08-23] A Google User: weee! loved these on my linux box, cool to see them here, now. |
[2012-08-20] A Google User: Has Black Box! Very cool that it has one of my favorite boardgames, Black Box, plus many others!! |
[2012-08-18] A Google User: Best puzzle game on Android This is a fantastic set of puzzles. Beats anything on the iPad. Almost all well-known logic puzzle types are represented somewhere within this set. I especially like Spiral Galaxies in this app. |
[2012-08-09] A Google User: Great App, Good Variety of Puzzles I had this on my Palm, and was glad to find it for Android when I switched phones. This is a great set of puzzles, including a number of Japanese ones by Nikoli (though some are under different names). Definitely recommended if you like logic puzzles, but touch controls can be tricky on some games. |
[2012-08-04] A Google User: Best puzzle collection around Ever since I discovered this brilliantly challenging compendium on the palm pilot it has been a mainstay on every pda/phone I've owned. Ridiculously simple looking but gives hours of fun. |
[2012-08-02] A Google User: Galaxy Tab 7.7 lol only game app I need.. |
[2012-07-26] A Google User: Love this app The Pattern game is both fun and addicting. However with the new update the numbers on the sides have become smaller and harder to read. If you could make them larger that would be great. |
[2012-07-25] A Google User: Love this! So many games/options and no dodgy permissions! |
[2012-07-24] A Google User: Random button? Why is there a random button underneath the puzzle? The button has an x on it and it doesn't do anything except waste screen space |
[2012-07-23] A Google User: Awesome puzzles The best collection of puzzles available for computers. Good for a 20 second micro break or a longer brain bender. Hugely configurable for long lasting game play. Great port, nice work. Thanks SGT and thanks C Boyle. |
[2012-07-23] A Google User: Great! No extra permissions, and has some awesome classics. |
[2012-07-23] A Google User: Wonderful An excellent collection of small puzzles which can be played to kill a few minutes here and there. I've endured countless boring hours thanks to this game. |
[2012-07-23] A Google User: Awesome The perfect puzzle for a tablet. |
[2012-07-23] A Google User: Great collection of brain puzzles Great collection of brain puzzles. Been using them since my original droid days and if has worked great on number of devices. |
[2012-07-19] A Google User: Still the best puzzles on android. Works on all my devices, with bigger and harder puzzle sizes for tablets. |
[2012-07-11] A Google User: So many logic games Great list of puzzles with with a wide range of difficulty which can be set. |

[2012-06-10] A Google User: Great set of games! |
[2012-06-06] A Google User: Exceptional UI is clunky as hell due to port but these puzzles are amazing. |
[2012-06-05] A Google User: Old familiar friend It's like being reunitd with an old friend, thank you! |
[2012-06-03] A Google User: Best Puzzle Game This has an astonishing number of mentally challenging games. Keep switching games so you don't get bored! |
[2012-05-18] A Google User: Great Puzzle Collection! It's a huge selection of elegant, mind-bending puzzles, presented in a minimalist way. I'm not sure what all the various icons are for, yet. It works fine in landscape mode. Some puzzles are familiar and traditional, some aren't. There are many options within each puzzle type. It's an amazing collection for free. |
[2012-05-16] A Google User: Awesome Back button behaves oddly though; it should go back to the game list rather than to the home screen |
[2012-05-14] A Google User: Wow. This is the best puzzle application ever! |
[2012-05-12] A Google User: The best spatial logic puzzles Bar none. |
[2012-04-26] A Google User: Excellent puzzles These are some of the most fun, challenging, and addictive puzzles I have ever found. |
[2012-04-23] A Google User: Great collection But Singles crashes both devices I own - an S2 and a transformer on ics. Shame, because everything else works great! |
[2012-04-20] A Google User: Outstanding Magnets! |
[2012-04-17] A Google User: inverse/night mode pls! was good before arrows version, thx for removing them. pls move all buttons to menu or optional? reduce app siz pls or split? |
[2012-04-14] A Google User: The best The best puzzle collection on Android. The source-code is available and the same puzzles are also available on Mac/Windows/Linux and Palm and Nokia S60. |
[2012-04-05] A Google User: Best puzzles & free And the best of all is that they are open source under the MIT license. |
[2012-04-03] A Google User: Good puzzles. No frills. Love this. Variety of games in a single app. Some are easy enough for kids, others are hard enough for PhD. Warning: Turn on your brain. These are PUZZLES, not games. |
[2012-04-02] A Google User: Awesome! I've played these puzzles on four OS now. Great design. Great implementation. (Typo in Pearl help page) |
[2012-04-02] A Google User: Awesome time waster! Excellent puzzles. Docs are good and the interface works surprisingly well, considering it is emulating a keyboard and mouse for controls (long-press for right-click). Would be perfect with a zoom/pan view for puzzles with lots of small numbers onscreen, like sudoku. |
[2012-04-01] A Google User: Brilliant!! A variety of interesting puzzle games to keep you entertained for hours. Loving it! |
[2012-03-27] A Google User: Amazing! Best puzzle games rolled into a tiny sized app. Best app I've got - amazing! |
[2012-03-18] A Google User: Awesome collection. Needs the option of zooming in on the bigger games for better accuracy, and need option to stop wrong answers turning red |
[2012-03-11] A Google User: Collection of perfect games I run these games on Windows, on Linux. Now running them on Android. It's just great. |
[2012-03-08] A Google User: Love these! Been playing these on ubuntu and it made my day to discover that they were on android too! |
[2012-02-25] A Google User: Been playing these for years... ...and now it's great to get to play on-the-go on my Android! Need to add "Share" so you can send particularly fun/difficult seeds to your friends. Five stars if you do. |
[2012-02-20] A Google User: Favorite puzzles on any platform I have used Sgt puzzles on my Nokia N800 and Debian Linux desktops, and the Android port is very well done: the puzzles are easier to play than my desktop version. Great work! |
[2012-02-11] A Google User: Excellent free games Love this app. A couple of games are a little fiddly on a phone screen at high level of detail (15x15 galaxy), but more than enough work well to keep me occupied for hours. |
[2012-02-07] A Google User: The definitive time killer! I don't think I'd need any more casual games for a while... Great app :) I've spotted a problem though, that prevents me from awarding 5 stars... The colours chosen for the maps game are terrible for colourblind people! Replacing brown or green with blue would be perfect. |
[2012-02-01] A Google User: Inteligent and interesting |
[2012-01-27] A Google User: Well done port! Excellent collection of small size fun logic puzzles! Play well on phone. Nice additions for control. No ads added. Faithful & love that it's on my phone, so thank you! |
[2012-01-15] A Google User: Had this for a while when I used windows I've had the original version when I was using windows, I'm so happy to see it on Android. BTW, Pegs is sometimes name Solitaire. The developer of this is great, like a day after I see an issue, a fix is out. |
