With the application ‘Molecular City’ the invisible becomes visible: the molecular base of everyday life in Augmented Reality. This Augmented reality game can be played from the 18th to the 28th of august at the Noorderzon festival in Groningen. AR markers can be found on the festival and its surroundings. They reveal the molecules of everyday life: from coffee to garlic. This application is the first of a series of educational games which will be deployed in different cities.
NOTE: due to technical difficulties unfortunately not all AR markers are recognized correctly. The markers which reveal caffeine, carbon-dioxide and dna on the iPhone application, will show different molecules on this Android version. This is not mother nature's mistake, but the mistake of the available AR software for Android devices.
