MahJong solitaire is played with tiles that are similar in function to playing cards. The object is to clear the playing area of tiles by matching pairs. You may only remove a pair of tiles if they both satisfy the following criteria:

    * There are no pieces directly to the left or right of the tile you wish to remove.
    * There are no pieces directly above any part of it.

A player can only remove the tiles one pair at a time. There are a total of 72 pairs in a game of MahJong solitaire. Like cards, the tiles have standard suits. These suits are Characters, Bamboos, Circles, Dragons, Winds, Seasons, and Flowers.

When matching pairs, Seasons and Flowers are the only suits you do not need to match exactly. Any Season or Flower combination counts as a pair because there is only one of each tile.

When you have no more pairs,  the game is over. If you clear the board, you win.

From the menu, you can start a new game or continue an old one. In the game there are options. You can set the display of the number of free pairs, to fix the position of the screen in landscape mode and more.

annoying issue When interrupted by alarm my nearly finished game reset, reset not start of current game but to the start of a completely different game. I live on a timed medicine schedule so this is a killer flaw for me...

STUPID! Horrible game! I have yet to win one game. Now I know you might say that it is my fault because I lack the skills or brainpower to play this game, but everytime that I actually get close enough to winning, the last two tiles are stacked on top of each other! Now how in the world am I supposed to solve that! It has done this numerous times!

Could improve Upside is that you can see the layout. No reshuffle is too bad. No scoring is a bummer so you can't compete with your earlier games. And no hints either. Would love it if you would fix these.
