Korean Chess(Janggi) (v. 1.1.1) Разработано fantastic |
Janggi is the Korean name for a strategic board game widespread in Korea. It was derived from Chinese Xiangqi. The game looks very similar to Chinese Xiangqi, such as starting position of pieces, and the 9 x 10 point board, without the Chinese river in the middle.

[2013-07-01] A Google User: Important rule not supported I'd love to give this app 5 stars. Really, I would. I've been playing Korean Chess most of my life and the app both visually and auditorially gives the "feel" of playing with a real board against a real opponent. The problem is that in Korean Chess, there are two special rules involving the King, neither rule reflected in this app. In the real game, you make a move that causes "Facing Kings" (no pieces in a direct line between the two Kings), then the person who made that move forfeits his right to win. If he does manage to checkmate the other King, the game is a draw. The other rule is that if you're far down in material, you can pass your move. In real life, this is accomplished by turning your King over. (Korean Chess pieces hve the piece name written on both the top and bottom surfaces of the pieces.) Please correct the rule set in your next update and I'll happily give a 5 star rating! |
