Best sudoku game. My original statement about multiple finishes was a hasty statement and in error. After reviewing my questionable games I find i was in error. I like being able to return to an unfinished game. This has the best interface and controls of any of the games I've tried.

Switch to Andoku2 This is basically still the same game as the original Andoku with a new name and new ugly icon. If you want the hint system that the new developer has added, then keep this and pay a buck if you don't want the ads. If you are peeved like me that the new dev now has 4 different sudoku games that all say they are the best (I hate having to choose between such programs - give me a chart of the diffs or something), then support the original dev and go buy Andoku2 for 2.50, or get the free Andoku2 with ads.

Was awesome; now uninstalled Andoku was a great sudoku app -- one of three (with OpenSudoku and Sudoku 10'000 Plus) that I installed and loved. Clean UI, great puzzle options, and no ads or abusive data/notification issues, and never got a single "app not responding" problem. I did read the reviews for the new update (with the name change and, more annoyingly, the appearance of ads). So I didn't update. And today, I uninstalled Andoku and added it to my (growing) list of apps that were changed from awesome to awful in one update (ChargeBar comes to mind...). Andoku was a better name for a better app. But I'd recommend OpenSudoku for a basics-only and open source sudoku app, and then Sudoku 10'000 Plus for a $1.99 but *endless* selection of sudoku (and variants) and also for a highly customizable UI (including fonts, colors, layout, etc.).

Best free sudoku app Some very unfair one star reviews from cyber bullies. I think this is still the best sudoku app there is. Good grids with only one solution. No change to the gameplay since ads were added; slight size change to grid does not affect ability to play. If you don't want ads, pay 99 cents or switch off data during play. Simples.
