I still have that 3DO and popped my cd case when I got this, and lo I still had all of the notes from back then! Thanks for bringing this port to Android. |

[2013-06-17] A Google User: Never could get through credits. They went on and on and on... Every time I touched the screen, it dumped me back to the main menu. On the menu, the only thing that works is "new game" which sends me back through the never ending credits. Unplayable as of right now. |

[2013-06-13] A Google User: One of the greatest games of all time. SC2 stands as the most memorable gaming experience of my life. I have been trying to spend the better part of a day trying to set up this android build with a Moga gamepad on my samsung S4. It works in keyboard mode, but doesn't at all in gamepad mode, which I think is kind of necessary for battle. I also wish it was possible to have this display in 4:3 so I don't have any stretching. Other than that, it's a dream come true to be able to carry it around in my pocket. Thank you PLEYA for porting this for us. |

[2013-05-29] A Google User: Good port of my favorite game of all time I just beat the game on my tablet. The final boss is as epic as ever. At first I worried that the touchscreen would make the controls difficult, but it's actually not bad. A couple ships are really hard to control (Arilou and Supox come to mind), but other than that it's fine. Some minor dialogue bugs, and one line of Slylandro probe dialogue causes the game to crash, but it's easy enough to avoid. Make sure you go into the settings and add the Esc button to the on-screen controls! You need this to escape from battles! It's not strictly necessary to beat the game, but you'll be in trouble if you ever visit a hostile homeworld, and you need it if you want to bring the Shofixti back. |

Neat how things like this and Tyrian get ported to everything under the sun ;) A couple things: 1) Is it possible to have the game display in 4:3 but centered so you can have the game controls in the empty space on the sides? 2) Not really your fault; if you like the Precursor remixes, the download provided by the app is out of date. This is easily worked around, though: go to `app-data/com.sourceforge.sc2/addons`, delete the contents of the remix directory (to save space), then put the four uqm-remix-disc#.uqm files in the addons directory. I imagine this would work to add most mods, actually ... |

The role playing ship gets more powerful with more upgrades but the battle makes it so that without a good player, u can still die with a powerful ship. Skillful player can turn a simple ship into a killer. Good design. |

[2013-02-19] A Google User: Once you have your controls set up its perfection. Loved this game back in 1993 when I first tried it. And SC1 which didnt have any of the quest. The game itself is a masterstroke of exploration, discovery and resource management, so many quirks and nods to other sci fi... the fact that I find it replayable after 20 years and many completions says a lot. Give it time and if you enjoy the genre you will love it too. |

A few pointers: - Use joystick controls, and set custom keybindings to make your two buttons work. - Press one of the buttons (rightmost) for me to re-read what somebody said in dialogue. There's a lot of important information you will want to write down. - Keep a log book of your journeys, what you found, where you found it. Political and geographical info given in dialogue. - Save often, save in new savegame slots. The universe is harsh. - Be kind to yourself and others. : ) |

However, the only direction control I can find is a joystick, which is simply not a good option for UQM; you need to be able to turn without using your engines, or vice versa. And anyone who gripes about the graphics realize this was a port from 92. This is still by far one the greatest space RPG of all time. Shame SC3 was so bad they discontinued the saga. I was one of the folks who signed the petion to make another game , no dice. So the fact that this classic is now on my tegra 3 tablet is aaaaaawsome. So thanks for the work, and now if I can only get the 3DO movies to work I will be in a world of bliss. So in the words of the Melnorme. " it has been a pleasure captain". |

For those who would prefer to play on other platforms, keep in mind that the save games are compatible between this and (at least) the PC. You can copy over the save games to another system and keep on playing from where you left off. |

This is a better option, and works great; and is loaded with the additional enhancements that come with the UQM project. Nicely done. My only complaint is beyond the developer's control, and that is touch screen controls are very different from computer keyboard controls, so the control scheme takes getting used to. |

[2012-08-13] A Google User: Quite possibly the best game on Android. A perfect port of one of the best games of all time, and it's free. What's not to love? I've already wasted many hours replaying it after a nearly 20-year hiatus. Those complaining about controls: go into setup, you can change the d-pad controls to arrow-key style where up controls thrust and left and right turn. And remember, the main ship is supposed to be hard to control until you buy basic upgrades to the engines and side thrusters. The Slylandro probes are tricky to beat without heavy casualties with Earthling cruisers and almost impossible with the main ship, but you can get them down with Spathi Eluders without any losses with a little practice. I'm absolutely thrilled with this game's existence on the platform! The devs who ported this deserve endless praise! |

Besides the fact that the android-specific settings look terribly out of place, and the controls for them are just plain wrong, the controls themselves make this game almost unplayable. More often than not, the lander would start acting goofy when multiple keys are pressed at once (fire + navigation), and would go in the totally opposite direction, stop, or that fullscreen entry would be shown without the finger being anywhere near the button. |
