Galaxy Hero [RPG] (v. 2.02)

Galaxy Hero is a top-scrolling shoot-em-up RPG hybrid. Think Final Fantasy mixed with Raiden or Strykers. Blast through waves of enemies using various weapons and earn experience points to increase your spaceship's power.
Clear stages on the World Map to unlock new areas.
Buy items to recover health, increase critical hits, slow down time, or unleash powerful attacks.
Equip weapons of different elements to deal greater damage to elemental enemies. Install drives to change your ship's abilities.
The number of items, enemies, stages, and weapons increases with each update. Check the forums or wiki page for information on upcoming changes.

As an independent developer and a true lover of video games, here are my promises to you:
1. I will NEVER remove content in order to sell a "full-version".
2. I will NEVER degrade a game by showing ads.
3. I will NEVER add in-game purchases which give advantages to those who pay.

The best games are made by those who play. Long live the independent developer!

Explanation of permissions:
INTERNET: Used for sending high scores, save backups, and crash data to the database.
PHONE CALLS: Required for getting a phone's unique Android ID. This ID is used in the database to store save games by device.
HARDWARE CONTROLS: The phone shakes a bit when the player is hit. Can be turned off.
BLUETOOTH: Used for Zeemote JS1 joystick support and other future bluetooth devices. Only used if joystick is enabled.

How I miss Raiden! Reminds me so much of the Raiden series :( but anyways. Game force closes after every stage besides that I have no other complaints but if you were to make like online co-op and the ability to purchase the look or style of our ships besides making more maps and making a donators version. I think you would make more money because I really want the ability to change how my ship looks haha.

Hardly final fantasy. It is a decent top down shooter with very light RPG elements. It isn't ground breaking but it is very satisfying. If you're into leveling up, buying upgrades and top down shooters, it fills all those cravings well.

Incredible Game This game is a perfect rpg/over-the-top shooter game for the phone. The developer added in the perfect elements to keep you playing. He also has a wiki page with forums where you can suggest additions to the game. He also updates frequently to keep the game up to date! I highly recommend this one!

Fun, but flawed. Buggy on Nexus 7. levels don't end automatically when you reach the end of them, have to end manually. This results in it being being able to continue progression through the game. Map screen also continues to display the fact that I have a shield to equip, even after I've equipped it. Would be a fun time waster without bugs. UPDATE: seems I needed to restart the app to fix the aforementioned issues.

Samsung i9000 The game is good! I only have a problem when I finish a level. I have to wait a while or the game doesn't answer. Please, fix this issue and the game will be perfect! And, if you can, add a new control for example, using the sensor of the mobile.

Buggy and unpolished This game is a good concept, but it has way too many bugs. It eventually became unplayable and I had to uninstall it.

Nexus 7, need graphic update Some dude said "useless without landscape feature"... if such a feature existed, I can't imagine the required reaction time due to less space involved in action area. Game has been best experience on android so far - only recommendation would be to fix minor graphical glitches and improve UI. I like the retro look, but more modernization would go a long way. Edit: some graphic glitches on tablet. Like coins and sprites not behaving normally.

Fun but buggy The game is very enjoyable ; you guide a ship, the ship positions itself in front of your finger, making it easy to view incoming bullets. The big problem here is stability ; you receive a phone call? App freezes. You complete a stage? Huge lag which can lead to a freeze.

Almost 5 stars Great game, but there were too many little annoyances to give it 5 stars. The flip upside down mode (which would have been great on my tab) makes all the damage numbers sideways. You are constantly getting shot at by off-screen enemies that you CAN'T hit. Also an HD version for tablets would be nice, but I didn't downvote for that. Also I see no good reason to have an arbitrary line at the top you can't cross. But even with all that, it is a great game. If you think this game is boring and generic the first fews levels... it is. But stick with it! It gets better!

Warning: Highly addictive game The game is unbelievably good. I played till I depleted my battery. It doesn't get boring you just wanna keep playing. The concept is very smart using elements from both shoot em up games and RPG leveling up. My only issue is that the game does not display full screen and seems to be missing a small fraction of the lower display. However it is barely noticeable. I highly recommend it to everyone. Bravo to the programmer, both for the concept and for keeping the game clean and neat.

Total BS I died from a bullet after I killed a boss... it went to the stage select screen like after every level. But then the numbers showed up like I was getting my money after the level. And I couldn't click anything. It was greyed out with the numbers there. I quit and came back and only got a black screen when I reloaded. Broken game.

Developer sucks I love this game very much and I would gladly give it 5 stars but the developer never releases updates wait scratch that he release one recently but it was for joystick support but that's nothing big there is always promise of new levels and they never come so my advice is don't buy the donated version just got the free one
