Needs work... Can't shut off the onscreen control graphics even though I am playing with physical controls on the Nvidia Shield (I think option to turn off is there but it don't work). The sound is dreadful. The pitch is off, it stutters, pops, clicks, and just sounds wrong. The SID chip designer weeps. Numerous little graphical glitches on edges of screen. Maybe port the old GP2X version it was made to run well on non-PC level hardware. I do like the easy keyboard switching but it should have an option for transparent.

Good emu but missing crucial features C64 compatibility of this emu is decent, and it runs acceptably. That said, it has some major flaws: Suggestions for improvement: 1) Need to be able to attach disk image without loading. Currently multi-disk games are impossible to play. 2) Option to map additional physical buttons, such as space, Run/Stop, F1-F7, etc 3) Options for more fine-grained control of performance/sound quality 4) Option to switch between PAL and NTSC emu 5) Maintain list of 'Recent Games' - a common feature in other emus

Still needs work I have a Craig clp281 netbook. It has a build-in keyboard, why does this program need to show an on-screen keyboard when very few program show one on this? The on-screen keyboard take up too much room. Switching mode to joystick inter fear with the physical keyboard on the device. Beside this problem it looks great.

Poor interface The color palette is awful, I could barely read the basic screen the c64 starts on, and there is no option to change it. Didn't have this issue with the Vice emulator. There doesn't seem to be any option to simply switch disks, so if you're playing a game that has multiple disks it will automatically send keystrokes to the game when you want to switch.

Good but... You can't insert a disc without loading a programme, so multidisc games simply don't work. Try creating a character in any AD&D game and saving... No sir.

Meh could be a lot better. Some obvious things are missing. There's no option to emulate autofire, and in customize key mapping there's no spacebar, the most obvious and probably the most needed key. Seems like author didn't play a lot of c64 games. More options for customizing screen format would also be great, this way it looks too wide. C64 enthusiast wants to see real C64 screen with original border, not crippled version stretched on 16:9 screen.

Excellent Thanks for this app! Firstly. to those who complain about the keys/joystick layout. try using an actual USB/bluetooth/wireless keyboard and perhaps a controller also. seems like the best solution to me. Paperboy, on this app, with usb retro joystick = absolute WIN. ive had a few games that dont work but there are plenty that run to keep me amused. while its probably not 100% perfect. im giving this app 5 stars. because it serves up the goods and its a C64 in yer phone. which is no mean feat IMO.

Bad controls If you hold thumb too far up and exit the joystick touch screen control then emulator stops interpreting it as you touching joystick which happens often and makes the games I tested unplayable or irritating at best. Doesn't support all c64 file formats.

Pretty good. Best Commodore 64 application for those with froyo androids. My only problem is since I have to use a D-Pad and have no multi-touch on my phone, the more often I comfortably use it, the app randomly closes out during the game - this is Awful. Also, T64 games cannot be played, so you have to fix them into D64s with Dirmaster on your computer (instructions are at the lemon64 website), besides that, it's decent. The D-Pad problem REALLY needs to be fixed though.

Good on Nexus 7 I have found this to be as good at opening d64 files as the Power64 emulator on Mac. I would give it five stars, but I am a little slow getting the feel for the joystick control. I will give it five if I can get a handheld game control to work. Also not clear on how to make a blank disk to save games on.

Gaming needs same time stick and keyboard access this emu works well. roms load easy and fast. screen and controls work well, but as title says, many games need keyboard access and joystick access at same time. in portrait mode, please have screen at top, keyboard middle, then stick / button bottom.

Please help frustrated! Okay im not a noob to emulators cuz they work on my pc. However i cannot get these d64 roms to load on my razr. I have tried everything from enabling 1541 and manual loading. I always get a file not found error. Please someone anyone give me some direction. Im frustrated.

No T64 support? I'm amazed there is still no T64 support for this emulator (I've been using it for a while). I owned a Commodore 64 without a disk drive, and many of the games I'd love to replay on Android were on tape only. I'd love for T64 support to be included, and that'd make this review a 5*.

Ok, just not Great Not a bad emulator. Framerate and Sound Emulation can be a little choppy, although tweaking with the settings can make this a little better on my Acer A700. Controls are not brilliant - the on screen joystick is not very responsive - and no real Wii Controller compatability. On the plus side, it DOES have a high compatibility rate and the keyboard works very well, but the quite poor performance of a machine now 30 years old kinda lets it down. A shame, this has the potential to be the best C64 emulator on Play.

Needs more options I really wish i could swap disks without needing to reset the console... thatll be nice. Im also getting a few problems with using a hardware keyboard (on HTC Desire Z), it kinda glitches out Also, autoloading doesnt work for me at all, i have to manually type in LOAD"*",8 in order to start stuff up. I wish there was a way to change the autoload behaviour Not very compatible with demoscenes unfortunately but i guess its hard to make it compatible with somehting that pushes the c64 to the extreme lol

Doesn't work on Asus TF300T Not much more to say. Loads, but you can't access settings, load disks, nothing. It jumps to them for a second when pressed, then jumps right back to the interface.

Creatures 2: Torture Trouble in my pocket... There's not really much more I can say. Only downside is adjusting to the touch controls during the game which are OK but not ideal. Maybe some more customisation options would help, I don't know. On the whole, the emulator seems to work very well from my initial experience.

Works great Game - Alien can't be played because requires ctrl-1 to be pressed to start. If keys could be defined it would be 100%. I don't have access to a phy keyboard. Wii ctrl support would be brilliant.

Sigh Even though thiS is easily the best emulator on the market for commodore64. Its still not even half of what the pc ones are. I am sad. Its great that i can play bagitman and a few others of my favorites....can anyone cheer for archon? But but it wont play 75% of the games i try. No jumpman no raid on bungling bay....sigh I would pay to have such beauties play on my tablet. Still....for free the emulator does work for some so get it n enjoy some games. Four stats cause its free and it tries hard!!!!
