At 5 p.m. EDT on May 3, 1971, the first edition of All Things Considered went on the air. In the nearly four decades since, almost everything about the program has changed — the hosts and producers, the length of the program, the equipment used, even the audience. But one thing remains the same: the determination to get the day's big stories on the air, and to bring them alive through sound and voice.

For two hours every weekday, All Things Considered hosts Robert Siegel, Michele Norris and Melissa Block present the program's trademark mix of news, interviews, commentaries, reviews and offbeat features.

The program rings with the disparate voices of its commentators, from tech guru Omar Gallaga to poet Andrei Codrescu to political columnists David Brooks and E.J. Dionne. It hums with the distinctive music that threads between reports. And by the time All Things Considered marked its 30th anniversary on the air, the program had earned many of journalism's highest honors, including the Peabody, duPont-Columbia and Overseas Press Club awards.

The news doesn't stop on the weekends, so in 1977, All Things Considered expanded to seven days a week with one-hour news magazines weekend evenings. Today All Things Considered on the weekend is hosted by Guy Raz, NPR's former bureau chief in Berlin and London.

Jarred Cohen - Chairman - Jarred has been with Bido since Bido's first day of auctions in 2008. Jarred is currently a Non-Executive Chairman of the Board. Jarred attended Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida. Jarred is happily married to his wife Alexis, a Ph.D. candidate, and they're enjoying raising their two children.

Sahar Sarid - (Departed the company) Former Co-founder & CEO - Sahar's vision of creating an auction platform that's scalable into multiple verticals was the foundation of Bido's mission. Sahar is experienced in the direct navigation business, and over the years has become a domain name expert. Sahar has a background that includes Military Service, Retail Marketing, Professional Athletics, and Internet Technology & E-commerce. Sahar helped Bido create a platform of value reaching far beyond purely business transactions because he ensured that the social aspect of the platform had an impact on many other people that visit the website. He feels strongly that by cultivating a “desire for knowledge” and thus fostering advanced analytical and questioning skills in our youth, future generations will be better educated and more tolerant. Sahar’s belief is that this will create a fundamental shift in our cultural and political paradigms, culminating in a healthier, more peaceful, and ultimately a more sustainable global society/community.

Jeff Bhavnanie - (Departed the company) Former Co-founder & Software Architect - Jeff formerly lead the development team in crafting our scalable auction platform technology. He spearheaded Bido’s software development infrastructure and oversaw our design and consulting teams at every stage of development. Jeff's dedication allowed for the design of Bido's specialized, scalable auction platform that may be applied to a variety of verticals. Other visions and creations of Jeff include the innovative charting collaboration application flowchart. Jeff is happily married and he and his wife, Celena, have three grown children.
