Weather notification в Android Market

Weather notification (v. 0.3.3)

You SHOULD install SKINS for better usability. Search "Weather notification skin" in the Market or click on "Install skins" in the application preferences.

Simple application which displays the air temperature and other weather conditions in the Android notification bar. The air temperature is always visible like a system clock.

The current location can be detected automatically or be entered manually.

The weather is requested from http://openweathermap.org.

This is the core application. To display the current temperature in different colors or styles, install skins. Skins can be installed on SD card.

Potential Like: VERY low on system resources, simple set-up. Dislike: Cluttered data display. In my comparison of 4 weather apps, Openweathermap seems to lag behind the actual conditions, at least here in Singapore. Suggestion: 4 hours forecast. Peter Kroll, Singapore

Needs improvement Not bad. Gives you quite a bit of information. My notification bar is garbled up with text -need to fix. Needs weather graphics. The small file size is a plus.

Hidden F Setting I finally found out you have to touch the skin you're using to see the option for going from Celsius to Fahrenheit. They really need to make that easier to change. Wish they would show more weather icons for some visuals. Auto location doesn't seem to be working, so I have manually set my location.

Not enough options You can have an icon with white font--but it's miniscule. You can have a reasonably sized icon--but it only shows the absolute value of the real temperature. I'm trying accuweather now. I can't change the color of its icon text, but it's true and large enough to easily see.

Overall a good app. The weather seems to be a few degrees off, for example; The Weather Channel app shows 70*F and this app shows 68*F and they've been both refreshed and on the same location.

Also my husband is totally blind and uses an accessibility suite, and the white skin works awesome for him. I am also impressed with the developer's responsiveness to feedback. Awesome job!

Useful, lightweight, bloat-free Can display temp AND cloud icon in status bar! I had installed its Classic cousin to replace the bloated GO Weather after it started throwing Chinese ads at me. I can live without the weather wallpaper, and Weather Notifications provides the status bar temp function I'd been persuaded to get GO for, and more, without all the bloat!
