PYKL3 Radar (pronounced Pickle Radar) is the premier radar and weather information application for Android devices.  View radar data, satellite imagery, and virtually any text product issued by the National Weather Service.  PYKL3 offers significant customization and options for the user and is a favorite among meteorologists, emergency managers, fire, police, chasers, and the general public.  View radar data in its RAW format, without removal of important data.  A detailed road network database is provided.  PYKL3 is designed to function well in bandwidth limited areas.  With an AllisonHouse.com subscription, PYKL3 Radar users may view up-to-the minute lightning data for situational awareness (Storm chaser or Storm hunter package required.)

It is recommended that users un-install any previous versions prior to upgrading to this version.

Note:  Some users report an error upon first time start-up related to the download of a file.  If this occurs, simply restart the program.  If you have further issues, please contact support at pykl3radar@att.net

Room for improvement Rather bulky & slow Although the app holds potential, it's a little too slow. If you're gonna drop $10bucks on a radar app, radarscope pixel wise is still far more accurate and the app as a whole more responsive.

Top notch I was hesitant to download a $10 app being a novice weather watcher, I contacted the owner Joe with a few questions about the app, he responded within 4 hours. He answered all my questions and was very helpful. I highly recommend this app to amateurs and chasers. Very user friendly and provides great info. Customer service is a top priority of mine and he surpassed it. It has GPS tracking and you are able to connect to storm spotter network and see where other network spotters are.

NOT WORTH IT!!! The app keeps making noises,but no indicators as to why. Radar Alive still seems to be the best Nexrad Radar and is cheaper.

Long overdue for Android! Simply put, this is the best radar/weather app for storm chasers on Android. As a storm chaser myself, this app has everything I've wanted.

Awful on thunderbolt. Data is always over 12 hours old for Kdix. Loads extremely slow. Burning a lot of battery just to get an old image...uninstalled

Overall Great, has looping. @Steven @greg Long Press on the Radar Screen to get menu with the option to turn on looping :). Now my review. I love this app it is very versatile and accurate. I gave only 4 stars because, to my knowledge there is no way to set a default Radar to start up on. It always goes to either 1 of 2 radars to my south or north, I prefer the one to the west to see what is coming and get better images for storms coming into my county.

Great on the Xoom! This is a must have. I have been looking for a level3 type radar and this is working very well so far. Can't wait for more improvements that the dev said he had coming.
