Pirate Buoy (v. 1.0.7) Разработано SilvaMobile |
Pirate Buoy allows users to find NOAA buoys based on current location, current address, or specific longitude/latitude coordinates. Once a buoy list is created for a specific location users may view buoy data, map the location of a buoy station, favorite buoy stations (for persistence), and setup a "Buoy Call". "Buoy Calls" are notifications sent to the user (even when the application is not running) when certain user defined data criteria is met. For example, if a user wishes to setup a "Buoy Call" for BUOY_X when the wave height exceeds 4 feet all they have to do is setup this criteria under the "Buoy Call" setup window. The following data items are available under the "Buoy Call" setup window:
Wind Direction
Wind Speed
Gust Speed
Wave Height
Dominant Period
Average Period
Mean Wave Direction
Atmospheric Pressure
Pressure Tendency
Air Temperature
Water Temperature
Dew Point
Visibility
Tide (* Rarely available)
"Buoy Call" Notification update every 30 minutes.
Great for surfers, boaters, or general ocean enthusiasts. Enjoy.

[2012-09-24] A Google User: Umm... Was prob OK when it was released and it does get you the data but its out of date now- there are better apps out there like OceanLife but admittedly you have to shell out a couple of dollars (SHOCK!) for those. |

[2012-09-06] A Google User: Needs Work Nice start, but saving Favorites doesn't work on Moto-Bionic. |

[2012-06-02] A Google User: Clean and Simple (no ads) Works like a charm, the best. For those of you that couldn't auto locate your position, just simply enter your zip code in the Address field. That's the better way anyway; no GPS draining the battery. |
|
[2012-01-09] A Google User: Working great, provides bouy information when conditions are above your preset, ie; wave height, tide info, etc. Nothing PIRATE ABOUT THIS APP, ITS JUST A NAME. App works while off, and using Marine Weather to monitor weather conditions. It WONT move to SD CARD. Small KBs, thats good. CANT COPY OR MAKE A BACKUP OF APP. Working great, being in South Florida, I have so many bouys out there, I monitor the GULF, Atlanta Ocean and the Bahama's water conditions. I'm Using a LG OP S (670 Series) ,Android 2.3.3. Try it for yourself and see, it works great for monitoring ocean conditions ie;WAVE HEIGHT, WATER TEMP, ETC, before you head out, or while you are on the water. |
