Aix Weather Widget в Android Market

Aix Weather Widget (v. 0.1.9.2)

Aix is a pure homescreen app widget that shows temperature, maximum/minimum precipitation and sun rise/set times graphically to give you a compact and accurate forecast.

Weather data is taken from Norwegian Meteorological Institute and NOAA National Weather Service. Data will be most accurate for Europe and the US.

Please check out the introduction by either opening the app from the market, or by using the menu key while on the Aix configuration screen. If you have any issues with the widget, please email me so I can help you.

This widget is designed to work in a portrait 4x1 format. It will work in 4x1 landscape, but this is not what the widget has been designed for. Improved tablet support will be added in the future.

NB: This application is in BETA, and is under development.

Excellent Excellent data presentation. Widget is very small on my rooted nook tablet, but otherwise it's the best thing I've seen. Will be buying the donate version as soon as the mentioned tablet friendly version is available.

Brevity is the soul of wit Functions perfectly, has all the immediate weather info one needs in a small box, to which one need only glance to glean said information... All sitting on your home screen, customized in almost any way one sees fit. A truly killer app!

Inaccurate forecast for New York CIty The weather for New York City is often inaccurate. The AIX site says it gets its data from the Norwegian Meteorological Institute and NOAA National Weather Service and that it should be accurate for Europe and the US. Unfortunately not so for NYC. Accuweather, for example, which uses the NWS for data, among other services, is much more accurate for NYC. Too bad, because I really like the graphical interface. I also wish there was an option for a 4x2 widget. The 4x1 widget is too small!

Great on my Huawei Comet This is a great app! Simple and always accurate for me here in the eastern US. Doesn't take up much memory, and is still customizable. (I have Android 2.2)

Does not work in my area... I live in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and though there are 2 locations where I can receive weather info, neither gives me accurate info. I LOVE the concept of a graphical readout to see weather trends, but it is not consistent with the real weather conditions. Really wish it worked.... Weather readings were compared to those displayed on environment Canada website.

Just what I need in Scotland! No point having one of the many Widgets which show you a single icon and temperature for the day, when you live somewhere with such changeable weather - I need to know *when* it's going to rain, not *if*! Seriously, though, I spent hours trying to find something like this, and it's great: nice look, good customisability, works great for my major-city location. Have bought the "donation" version and look forward to tablet upgrades, e.g., a fully resizable version, plus maybe wind info.

The most precise app for the UK After many disappointments, including AccuWeather and the Weather Channel, at last an accurate forecast for London. The level of detail is amazing and extremely useful, especially the stats for rain per hour. Add a 3- or 5-day forecast and that will be 5 stars

The first weather forecast I actually find useful Shows everything you need to know about the weather, i.e. overall look (cloudy, sunny etc) temperature and amount of rainfall in a very compact widget area me the screen, for the next 24 hours, which is all you need as further ahead the forecasts are often inaccurate anyway in my experience. Update frequency can be customized to prevent excessive battery drainage. Superb!

Superb I dont often write reviews, but, this app puts others to shame. The dev thought about what was needed and has offered it free with no strings. It lies out what the weather will be like in the next 24 hours and shows me how much rain there will be in one view and I have to do nothing to see all that. Brilliant. Will try it for a week and if I am still as impressed I will make a donation.

Great What i like: everything. Fast, detailed, precise What is missing: click on one for more distant (into tue future) forecast. What do the raindrops under the clouds mean? Some UI elements are obscure and unlabelled. But this is an excellent, small, and thoughtful app.

Great app! Clicking on it should do more though This is my favorite weather widget by far. Super customizable and low permissions requests. I would be interested to see an option to change precipitation amount to percent likely, though. I find "will it rain today?" to be more commonly asked then "how much"

Best widget i have. Need some request from developers. Hi. This is by far the best weather app i tried. I have a suggestion though. The aix widget only shows the CURRENT weather. I wish there's an option where i can choose like whats the weather or mm of rain 3-6hours from now. This is especially helpful if i want to see if it will rain or not. I know this is possible because when i change my phone's time ahead, i can see the weather ahead as well. Please add in your next update.

Simply the best! ;-) This app is clean(no spam or undue access to your data) and it rocks! It instantaneously gives a very accurate (at least in europe and asia for what i can say) prediction of when the rain will come or when the temperature will drop, within the next 24h. I check it every morning before leaving home!
