One of the best apps I've used I have to admit, when I'm bored, sometimes I find myself reaching for the United app. Not because I need to check in, change seats, change a flight, etc. - all of which are simple, quick, and intuitive - but because it works so freakin' well. Best bets: everything I already mentioned plus you can check the upgrade list, seat map, standby list, and see where the plane is coming from for your next flight - usually before they tell you anything in the terminal.

Fully featured, but... Well I can't say it isn't loaded with features but it is way to optimistic. Every flight is on time or early. Right now I'm sitting in Houston airport waiting for our aircraft to show up, its posted on the board here the flight is delayed 20 minutes waiting for the incoming aircraft. The app says the flight is on time and the inbound flight is 10 minutes early. Similar story on my flight in here last night delayed almost 2 hours app reports it as ontime. If you're ok with the flight status bit the app is ok

Doesn't update times... My flight was delayed (gate change) then moved up by 45 min (another gate change) and the app never notified me of the time changes just the gate changes. Why update one and not the other? I ended up missing a flight. But it takes ur bag fee charges just fine.

Why no notification when your flight is cancelled? I had a flight cancelled today, which was annoying. but I found out through Google Now, not through the Android app. That's clearly the wrong behavior and this should be fixed. it would also be nice if the app knew something about luggage.

Wow! Usually used ap for just price checking potential flights, checking flight status or checking in for flight. Was really leery about purchasing my ticket on ap but couldn't get to my computer when I needed to purchase...so I thought I would try it. SO MUCH EASIER AND FASTER THAN REGULAR WEBSITE!!! doesn't keep login, nor caches info The application looses info. I set it to remember login, but an update dumped login anyway. So there I am in the middle of the airport, having to type in a long string of numbers into the phone. Stupid. Also, once logged in and gotten to my ticket info, put the phone away for a few minutes - and the app lost the info in a few minutes. Useless. Paper wins hands down.

Love the app...except The "Add to calendar" used to work flawlessly, them you took it away, then you added it back. Now it is there but not working properly. The times are all screwed up and not screwed up consistently. It added one flight from Dickinson, ND to Denver scheduled for 7:20 am mst through 8:50 am MST and it set it for 3:20 am to 11:50 am but the other 2 legs were put in properly. Please get a programming intern to fix this level 1 mistake and then leave that code snippet alone.

Really invasive I would use this app but not after reading the terms. Allows the app to turn on and take pictures and video without users knowledge, why would it need to do that. I also understand being able to access the calendar to add a reminder if flight times but read and access your calender, your friends and co-workers calendars, and other sensative and personal info without your knowledge and make changes without your consent. This does not sound like a necessary feature to use this app.

Buggy App Trying to book a flight with this app version is impossible. After selecting dates or airports, the other fields are reset to null. Doesn't matter which order data is entered.

Limited functionality after update I used to be able to switch flights and seats within the app, but no longer. Also, flight notifications are not pushing to my notification tray. The app is great otherwise.

Flight status I can't check flight status directly from my reservation anymore. You may want to consider having real users test updates before releasing them. Some of the screen lag more than usual now as well.

Hacking vulnerability by designer stupidity I use a password locker. Disabling the ability to import my password into the app by not allowing copy and paste doesn't make anything more secure. All it does is make it more of a PITA to use, and encourages bad passwords by forcing users to use simple passwords. Can we stop the moronic behavior?

Best I've used American airlines sucks at electronic anything, didn't give me my boarding pass for my connection, can't handle more than one boarding pass. United is much better! Could use some optimization though, so I don't have to uninstall it between uses due to it running randomly and eating battery.

Very Scary Permissions requirements I just want to have a digital boarding pass. The permissions that this app has seem excessive. United - why do you need to - add, remove, change events that you can modify on your device, including those of friends or co-workers - call phone numbers without your intervention - use the camera at any time without your confirmation - prevent the device from going to sleep Not installing until your app stops being a creeper.
