TripView displays Sydney train/bus/ferry timetables. Features:
- Full timetable viewer
- All timetable data is stored locally on your phone
- Download timetable updates from within the app
- Scrolling CityRail style display
- Trackwork / service interruption information
- Interactive maps (create your trip by clicking on your station/stop)
- Alarms (arrival/departure, time/distance)

[2012-12-30] A Google User: An essential for Sydneysiders As stated, this app is essential to those who both rely and don't rely on public transport in Sydney. When Google Maps introduced public transit information, I thought this app would be doomed but it only gets better with each update. The only criticism would be to allow caching of maps when choosing bus stops as I used over 150mb of data reloading the map each time. A good addition would be the ability to choose your bus stop destination first and then pick the stop closest to you that has a bus that stop |

With the introduction of public transit info into google maps I thought this app was done for, but with this one latest update the real time data for buses has cemented this apps place on my home screen. Knowing exactly what is going on with each bus (whether it's on time or late by x mins) is a revolutionary step forward. Well done devs! |

[2012-12-21] A Google User: Love and hate.. This app saves my life!! I have all my trips saved for everywhere I go and categorized into 'from' folders, but these updates keep changing the names of things and screwing everything up! E.g., railway square is now under 'Haymarket' so I've had to remake like 10 trips! There are other suburbs where they have done this, but changed it back again! Love the app, but hate the updates to location name changes :/ |

[2012-12-20] A Google User: Addition of real-time data a boon Once set up, works flawlessly. Worth every cent. I switched to Google Maps after they added public transport routing, but the addition of real time bus data made me switch back. Best feature EVER. |

[2012-12-20] A Google User: Pretty good but... I seem to be seeing a few 'phantom' buses on the app that don't actually appear in real life. I was watching a 310 bus at Botany yesterday that according to the map, was just around the corner but it never arrived. A few minutes later it was showing on the map two minutes up the road from my stop. It definitely didn't go past so I'm not sure what data the app was showing. Today I've noticed 310 and 309 buses showing in the list of buses coming soon but they are nowhere to be seen on the map? Seems that the two screens are accessing different data and getting confused.. It's probably a problem with the data being supplied to the app, not the app itself but still annoying waiting for an invisible bus :) (and then apparently missing it because we didn't see it go past) |

[2012-12-20] A Google User: New Update is a Double Edge Sword After installing the latest patch (which added "Real Time Tracking") I've been frequently having bus schedules mysteriously disappearing and reappearing... 4 times I've had the app timetable and printed timetable on the bus stop reflect the same information, only to have the app suddenly say the bus I'm waiting for no longer exists.. Probably to cover up that it's 20 mins late. Only to have the trip reappear when I set an alarm for it hours later.. This has happened many times and is becoming frustrating.. |

With the trip alarms its even better. Latest update with bus status is basically changing my commute. The new data released by the state government really is a game changer. What I do wish it had was a backup option to restore your created folders, after a phone restore. After a phone restore, upgrade; the app reverts back to a clean start. Not a drama, really. Since the timetables doesn't updates all that often, maybe a built in daily updates function could be implemented so that users do have to do manual updates. The manual update option could still be there so users can get the latest timetable if the app missed it on the auto update. |

[2012-10-30] A Google User: As good as Sydney Buses allows it to be Excellent and easy to use - one star off because it badly lacks multi-modal trip planning, which has been available on the iPhone version for years now. Despite its excellence, I'm using TripView less nowadays than when I was a train commuter, because I take the bus now and the Sydney Buses timetable is a work of fiction, so unfortunately the information in the app bears no resemblance to reality. If State Transit would get its act together and bring back the real-time bus GPS data - which TripView integrated really well for the brief period it was available - the app would be a lot more useful for bus users. |

I don't catch public transport often so this app makes sure I get to train station on time, then I have to wait 20 minutes cause train is running late.
