Download the free official NSW Government Transport Info 131500 app for up-to-date trip planning details and maps for using train, bus and ferry services across greater metropolitan Sydney.

Includes next services, A to B trip planner, maps and public transport updates. If you have GPS capabilities on your phone, the app already knows where you are, and can point you to the relevant stop, station or ferry wharf. Depending on your mobile data plan, normal mobile data charges may apply as you use the app.

With this app you can:

Does the job All I need is to know when is the next bus due at a specific stop. This app makes it simple and easy. Select the stop on the map and see which buses are due next. With TripView you must enter the route, src and dest before getting that piece of info. Painful! The next feature I would like to see is real time bus location, that would make that app even better.

Useful app but... Useful app. Has 1 annoying bug - If you use the "arrive before" option this is not stored by the app. It always swaps back to depart at the time. I would also like to see the sync option have the ability to store more details about the trip ( maps, walk details etc.).

Needs a lot of work and rework Overall navigation is poor. Moving the integrated Google maps is jittery at best. No way to display bus station names on the maps. Maps need to be a close zoom in order to start displaying the bus stations around. The overall app design is quite low as well. Sad to see the NSW government paying for such a poor app. Will happily pay for "TripView Sydney" instead and support an independent developer.

Needs work App told me next train was 2 minutes after I saw it pulling away. 131500 operator said app time was wrong. I would have run up the stairs and made it if app time was correct. I'm not happy. Operator said she checked app and it told her same time as her computer. Something is wrong somewhere. Fix it.

JUST Brilliant. Couldn't ask for anything more. Works out where I am and even tells me how much time to allow to walk to the bus stop. Combination of transport (bus, train, etc) is done for you automatically. And its all for free.

Sassy thing wants all your attention Nice, tidy, accurate app. Route maps are handy especially when you are trying to figure out which stops are next. Can be a little slow and needs internet. Offline caching would be handy. Also it's kinda cute how the widget wants your attention by saying 'tap me!'.

Nifty app. My one complaint is it starts searching before you've finished typing, which is a pretty minor complaint. Other then that it does exactly what I want!

Waste of your time To get to/from work i can take bus and/or train so o tried this for 3months. It often times out contacting database; it doesn't know the station literally next door to work; sometimes totally forgets some bus routes; and sometimes just gives the wrong times for a bus service. In short, you can't trust it.

Some issues make it usless First try it was great, I could find my bus to work, and save it to my calender with a reminder. One problem compared to trip view, you can't add a route as a favourite. I walked to the qvb bus stop and tried to find the next bus. Major problem. The location found me, but listed the next bus 40 minutes away, which was completely wrong, trip view came up with the right timetable. Plus once the location part found the bus stop and route, clicking on the route doesn't show you where it goes to, so useless!

Useless on the go Needs offline viewing. This is pretty much useless on the go for people like me who cannot afford mobile data charges. Is it really that hard to program it to save the timetable information on the phone/tablet? I guess they've designed it to work at the same efficiency as a government employee. Better to use Tripview Lite or Link, or do as I do, and have both this official app and one of the better ones installed.

Pretty good, but live bus info? Very impressed with this app so far, and I'm a transport app junky. But I'm not sure whether it uses live timings for services, or the timetable. As anyone using buses in Sydney knows, timetables are rarely helpful. All buses are fitted with gps now, so shouldn't be a problem. Great suport for setting frequent journeys, intuitive to change time, starts on current location, able to easily change location, very robust, only concerned about accuracy.

Not updated in real time. Do not trust the information from this app! The app isn't updated to reflect platform changes, significant delays, or cancellations, despite the information obviously being in their computer systems (overhead signs display current information, but in a station like Central with 25 or so platforms, what bloody use is that!)

Brilliant app Fantastic app. Works just like the website. Love that it advises alternate modes of transport between two points with just one search. And saves previously searched trips despite being a free app - beats Tripview (free version) hands down in that. Only wish it would show more than just 5 search results. Even extending the search by clicking on later/earlier, just adds only 2 more. Other than that fantastic app. Have not needed the full version of Tripview.

Fugly but sweet This app is dogged with a clunky interface and lacks the important offline option for such a critical app. Yet its saving grace is its ability to handle transfers, where Tripview falls down and to give transport options based on your current location. As a regular user of Sydney's woeful public transport system I use both apps but I find myself using this more. Recommended.

Great for visitors Good for visitors to Sydney to figure out how to get around. Got caught out when taking a last train with a connection, as I could not bring up the trip again once midnight had passed. Good app otherwise and seems to have a good range of POIs

Regular public transport user This app lacks in detail. Very unintuitive & hard to use. You should be able to select the public services u want at the beginning, whether it be train, bus or ferry. For trains, we have to change trains, the app does not allow me to select which station I want to change. There should also be a map of the train route, very useful for people to see the different train lines & how they connect. Also the timetables should be saved on the phone & not be searching from the internet. What if u have no reception.

Should save timetable data in app While great for a free app I feel like it should save all the timetable data on the phone rather than having to ping the online servers every single time I do something, even when I select a station. It makes it very slow compared to TripView which saves all the data within the app and updates it regularly.
