Android version! New handy Guide with ranking-list over 66 Best Restaurants – Nordic countries.

As a kind of consequence of the growing interest for the good restaurants in Northern Europe the needs for a quality-related guide has improved, and therefore Books for Cooks have taken steps to introduce a handy guide showing essential details and priority ranking of the very best restaurants in the Nordic Countries.

It will be based upon the yearly publication of classifications in the national and international guides for restaurants e.g. Den danske Spiseguide and others as well as a number of votings from leading critics and experienced persons in the gastronomic world in the nordic countries based in the juries for The Nordic Prize.

To follow the 66 best restaurants 5 runner-up listings for each nordic country will be a part of the guide. Those national lists is under the judgement of nordic juries related to The Nordic Prize award.

The very first edition will be presented beginning of may 2011.

Alcañices Turístico! pretende ser tanto una guía de turismo dentro de la localidad zamorana de Alcañices (perteneciente a la comarca de Aliste), como una nueva forma de descubrir los encantos turísticos, históricos y arquitectónicos que reúne la Villa, a través de las últimas tecnologías móviles de geolocalización y realidad aumentada.

Con esta aplicación podrás conocer algo más del pasado de la localidad a través de documentos y planos de hace más de tres siglos, pudiendo observar cómo era  antiguamente la estructura de la muralla que cercaba el interior de la Villa.

Usa el GPS y la brújula para "perderte" por la localidad.

Explora los puntos más representativos de la localidad a través de la Realidad Aumentada.

En definitiva, se trata de una aplicación ideal si vas a realizar turismo por la zona.

ANT:l (ANonymous Tracking of Locations) uses your phone to collect location data. But unlike Google Latitude or something similar it is totally anonymous.

The app has some other cool features like adding status messages to your location or sharing your location for a limited time with your friends on Twitter, Facebook or simply by e-mail or SMS. The status message are also posted to the common Twitter account "ant_location". So, we are very curious about the messages!

The app provides a home screen widget which shows your latest status message. You can tap on it to launch the ANT:l app.

How anonymization works:
At the very first launch of the application it generates an unique ID. It is not possible to use this ID to identify you or your device. The ID is only used to reference the submitted location data.

The main goal of ANT:l is to analyze the collected data to learn where a lot of people are on their way and when. We may learn the traffic patterns for various locations all over the world. And we may locate special situations like traffic jams. It could be possible to predict such situations and warn users before the situation becomes real. That's the reason why we are interested in the location data.
