Tide 7 downloads tide predictions to your Android device; storing them for quick, easy access when you need it - no need to go back online.
Tide 7 is designed to minimise network data traffic, while maximising data availability. Network connection is only required to download the predictions - which can then be viewed anywhere, anytime. No ads using up your bandwidth and battery!
7-day tide predictions are downloaded from the UK Admiralty EasyTide service and stored on your device, making them available to you instantly - whenever and wherever you want, without network access.
Tide 7 supports full tide predictions for:
* over 600 locations in the UK, Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands; a further 100+ locations are supported with partial tide predictions.
* over 50 locations in Belgium and The Netherlands.
* also includes Gibraltar and Malta.
Full tide predictions include times and heights of High Water and Low Water together with a graph (height vs time) representing the prediction.

Note for users of Honeycomb (Android 3) and Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4) devices without a menu button:
The on-screen 'action overflow' button performs the same function as a menu button. This appears by the navigation buttons as a vertical line of three square dots.
On some devices - including HTC One V and HTC Desire C - the on-screen button does not appear, in this case, press and hold the recent apps button to open the menu.

[2012-11-23] A Google User: Simple but effective With plenty of locations to choose from this app gives me a weeks worth of high/low tide times at a glance with one data connection. Good choice and worth every penny. Has allowed me to get to some odd coastal geocaches! |

[2012-11-13] A Google User: Doesn't work for me I'll echo what another review said. I can't get the program to work because it wants me to press the menu button to select a location, but there are no buttons, so I can't and the app,is useless to me. Wasted a bit of my money, as well. |

[2012-09-20] A Google User: Simple but effective Not the best in terms of features or presentation, but it excels in the two most important areas - it's accurate (the BBC use the same source), and it supports an extremely wide range of stations, so you shouldn't have any trouble finding one near you (the same could not be said for any of the other apps I tried). It's just a shame that it can't interpolate the tide height at a given time (it only gives the time and height of low and high tides - nothing in between). |
