Bring the GPX route data with you to the outdoor activity. When I go out to mountains. Most of the time, there is no radio coverage. I just need to know if I am on track, and want to know how much elevations to go. All I need is the GPS functions overlayed on white map, If I can bring the route data stored in SD card.
Another problem is the battery. If I use the GPS frequently, it consumes the battery a lot. so I want to minimuze the usage. My adroid phone denys photo feature in low battery, so it was a waste the other day.
You may find your route data in Garmin Connect. Bring the route map with you. Do not get lost anymore.
