ParkNOW! is the world’s most convenient way to pay for parking. You no longer need to carry coins or return to the meter to add money, simply use your Android phone to start your parking session. You will receive a warning notice before parking expires. In many locations you may also stop your parking session at any time and pay for time parked only. This app is designed for use in North America.
Simply open the ParkNOW! app and register. It will take just a few minutes. When registering you will be asked to provide a credit, debit, or PayPal account details and make a pre-payment to your ParkNOW! account. When using ParkNOW! your account will be charged for the actual cost of parking as well as a small convenience fee, based on location. Please visit www.goparknow.com for exact fees. When your account balance runs low, it will be automatically replenished. No other fees are involved and you pay only when you use the service. If you wish to close your account your monies will be refunded.
To start parking with ParkNOW!, simply select the city, location # displayed on the parking meter or street sign, and expected parking duration. Where applicable, you may also scan the QR code or NFC tag on the parking meter, and enter the requested data. Please note that time will usually not appear on the meter. The enforcement officer has a handheld device to monitor cell phone payments.
A personal web account is created for you when you register. Go to www.goparknow.com and log in with your phone number and personal PIN code whenever you wish to access your past parking transactions or edit account data. [2011-09-25] Nate: Astonishingly bad I didn't believe it, but sure enough the app can't do something as simple as accept the parking spot number that you're trying to type in. Whether you use an on-screen keyboard or physical keyboard, every backspace results in a crash, and even when you're not backspacing, you can only type one character, because each character you type overwrites what is already in there. Clearly some kind of auto-suggest or auto-correct logic that just doesn't work. |

However, anytime I type anything incorrectly or need to input a new meter, the backspace action force closes the program... EVERY TIME. Developer needs to fix backspace function... |
