Ottawa has a lot to offer but sometimes it can be hard to know what events are available, and where to go for these events. If you are a tourist visiting Ottawa or a simply an Ottawa resident who is looking to find interesting things to do, this app can help.

The city of Ottawa has made available its event and facilities data for the public under the Open Data initiative. This was the inspiration for my app. The app makes use of this data so your Android becomes a powerful tool helping you find fun things to do in Ottawa.

You can either find events by category or find them by location, the phone's GPS will help you find events nearby. Once you find the event, you can use the StreetView, and get directions to the event.

But surely enjoying Ottawa is not limited to organized events. There is so much to do outdoors or indoors, from museums, parks, ball diamonds, baseball courts, bowling, outdoor rinks, skateboard parks, splash pads, sport fields, tennis courts, volleyball courts, wading pools and sledding hills! These are all available in this app and can be seen in a list or on a map of course with directions and StreetView whenever available.
