The Northamptonshire County Council Android App has been introduced for the residents and visitors of Northamptonshire to use wherever they are to access council information and services.
Users will be able to view up to the minute news, details of how to find our key services and how to contact us on the move.
Features:
•Up to the minute council news and consultation events
•Details on how to contact the council either by email, phone or post
•Information on any job vacancies within the council
•Search our schools directory by name and distance, check term dates and any school closures
•Information about council services including libraries, recycling centres, country parks and registry offices
•The distance of your nearest council service, locate it on a map and see the route from your current location
•Find the 5 nearest bus stops from your location at any given time and view the time tables to see when the next bus is available

[2012-11-08] Phil: Unusable If you exit the app and then go back in it remembers the page you were on. You can't use the back button as there is nothing to go back to and no link to a home page which means it is now stuck on the news page . Useless. |

[2011-09-14] Jacci: Good work The new update has fixed the problem with it hanging on 3G. So I'm able to check the times of buses quickly and easily. Being able to access local news on the hoof as well was handy tonight as I didn't know about the road closures in Kingsthorpe over the next few days. |
