Navit for Android (v. navit 0.5.) Разработано Navit |
Navit for Android is an open source (GPL) car navigation system.

Unlike other navigation systems, Navit maps are dynamically generated in real time from vector data.
Navit is completly offline and works without an internet connection.
Features:
*) Navigate to target from google maps
*) works offline
*) spoken directions in many languages

[2012-12-15] A Google User: Very Nice App Hi Friends.. its really works well in my mobile.. a best offline map which does not mobile internet for navigation!!! |
[2012-12-10] A Google User: don't install this if you want something useful You cannot simply enter an address and have it take you there, it will only show how to get to streets not addresses and the navigation is horribly wrong every single time, LIke not even in the same state wrong. I wish the author didn't waist my time and mentioned it didn't even remotely work for anything useful in the description so I could have saved some time. |
[2012-12-06] A Google User: Not done yet This is a fantastic program, although on my tab, running CM10, it is not working yet. The program runs fine, and this is the only free gps app so far that has offline maps for namibia, but if I search an address its is just never found. Even if I search for the street I am in....... Maybe its the maps? I will try on one of my other droids as well..... I am surely keeping this app. Maybe an update will fix it soon? |
[2012-11-26] A Google User: Not useful Not matured enough to be useful. |
[2012-11-02] A Google User: Lame Screen was blank and the settings and route optiobs didn't do anything. |
[2012-10-25] A Google User: Advertising ... Why a paid app is forcing me to go download other apps (when I am launcing Navit ? WHY ? Why a paid app wich claim towork offline force me to see other apps and because I am not connected I am not able to use the Paid app (Navit). Please fix this |
[2012-10-22] A Google User: Not Great... Can you add the ability to put the maps on an external SD card??? It insists that I do not have enough space on my 1GB internal SD card, when I have over 8 GB open on my external one... |
[2012-10-09] A Google User: Navit for Android This is real cool |
[2012-09-21] A Google User: Very choppy The scrolling and zooming is very choppy and slow |
[2012-09-21] A Google User: Great open source app Great free - open source (multi platform) app, with maps from Open Street Map (you can choose other maps if you prefer). It is to GPS navigation what Firefox is for browsing or What VLC is for music. You don't need to connect your phone to the computer to upload maps (but if you want you can: you don't need to install anything and it doesn't require a specific OS). You can use it offline without any problem (to search and navigate to your destination), which is especially usefull when you are abroad. With Google Maps or Apple Maps you can't and with Ovi Maps search doesn't work very well offline. It works fast (on my Motorola Defy, Google Maps often freezes). Only downside: the menu could be more user friendly. This app deserves to get more mainstream attention. |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: Crap Ugly, doesnt work, doesnt show map, gui is similar to one on Nokia 3310... absolut fail!!!! |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: Sad excuse for a app |
[2012-09-03] A Google User: Great free app. Great on your phone but for tablets not so mood. Maybe a update will fix the problem for tablet soon. |
[2012-08-27] A Google User: Helped a lot of times Although still in progress, this app helps me at lot because is offline, you don't need data or signal to make it work, just download your map and there you go, ideal for travelers like me |
[2012-08-26] A Google User: Gps Lousy apps.cannot download asia maps. |
[2012-08-26] A Google User: Inusable Unusable, can't even download maps |
[2012-08-24] A Google User: Awesome The best free gps navigation |
[2012-08-20] A Google User: To be honest ... I thought it was a proper working navigation app! How WRONG I was, the more I tried using it, the worse I realized this navigation is! - Reminded me of another app in it's infancy, "Waze", & Navit is NOT a complete polished navigation app! Roads are not complete, wrong directions, very laggy, & not user friendly, very confusing! - Love the concept, but hating the feel so far! Waze wins for Map Editing on the fly! Nice try tho! :-/ |
[2012-08-17] A Google User: Middle of nowhere When u dont have any bars this has gotten me out of being lost many times in bfe |
[2012-07-30] A Google User: Not worth it! Everytime I try to search an address it says results not found. |
[2012-07-30] A Google User: Disappointed Wont show map for me ....ireland on galexy s2 |
[2012-07-25] A Google User: Mediocre After downloading about 80 MB on map data all I ended up with was a green dot on a white field. Perhaps there is a way to get the map displayed but the GUI and the menus are the worst I have seen for a long time. Even as a free app. this is mediocre at the best . Why for instance can one not use the stock keyboard to input data? Looks more like a school project than a properly programmed app. Uninstalled after 5 minutes. |
[2012-07-09] A Google User: IT KEEPS FORCE CLOSING |
[2012-07-08] A Google User: La mejor de Android para Navegacion gps y offline, pero le falta agregar varias funciones basicas. |
[2012-07-05] A Google User: Steve Harrison Have been using NAVIT now for about a year and cant fault it! for a free app that cost nothing and theres no network connection charges its great! using it on motorola flipout PAYG. Not all streets are on but its easy to use by following the Action > town > streets > set as destination , this sequence is simple. shame that you cant use a postcode but for free who cares! SUMARY- FREE ? NO WAY ! YES IT IS! GREAT! |
[2012-07-02] A Google User: can not show map i got this app to save mone on a sat nav but it will not show or let me get a map |

[2012-06-18] A Google User: Not working Not working for me. Samsung Galaxy 2, android 2.3, Finland. Downloaded map of Finland. Just green spot on white field. Address search finds nothing. Still trying to make it working |
[2012-06-13] A Google User: Shaman Good, but only in combination with Googlemaps. UI is from 19th century. Extremely usefull where internet is unavailable. Just star points on Google maps in advance, then use Navit for navigation. Otherwise, much improvement should be made. |

[2012-02-09] A Google User: GUI epic fail but map data is good Worst GUI ever, sadly the developer has obviously never seen any navigation app/device, but once you have at least managed to get map data, the maps and the routing seems to work good - at least if you just let it work and don't click on anything. |
[2012-02-01] A Google User: Unfortunately Unfortunately not usable yet. |
[2012-02-01] A Google User: Horrible Downloaded maps as per request and they will not load, waste of data! |

[2012-01-11] A Google User: Broken This app simply cannot display the map data it downloaded. It only show one city marked and a few random, non connecting curves that may be parts of roads. Assuming blue areas mark water, there are a lot of rectangular lakes around. |

[2011-12-28] A Google User: Problematic Running on an LG Optimus One, I downloaded the maps for Canada (I am in Toronto). At startup, all I saw was a green dot on a field of white. After fiddling around, and zooming out-out-out-out, I finally saw where I was. The map showed my correct location, which is good. However, I could not find any street, never mind any address, when searching for a route. I was looking for locations that are on major streets and have been there for over 20 years, so obsolete maps should not have been an issue. I don't know if the problem is the application or the map (I downloaded the map for all of Canada), and there's no way to tell. Unfortunately, the interface isn't very intuitive, and there's no real help, so there's not much I can try. I suspect that this is one of those applications where it either works great out of the box, or it does not work at all. |
[2011-12-23] A Google User: ANDROID CRAPWARE! DOWNLOADING MAP FAILED. ALL I GET IS A WHITE SCREEN WITH GREEN DOT!!!!! |
