- The version requires approx. 2GB of free memory. Please ensure you have sufficient available mass-storage space (SD card).
- The map material must be downloaded after installing the app via NAVIGON Fresh on a PC or via wireless Internet on the smartphone. Please ensure a reliable and safe connection is available.
- Samsung users: please only download using wireless Internet!
- on first startup a short data connection (ca. 25kB) is required to register your product
Whether in the car, by bike or on foot, NAVIGON hopes you have fun navigating.

[2011-12-17] Bin: good app ive been using it for yrs. its great to have it on my phone. |
[2011-12-16] mike: excellent confused by all the negative comments. works excellent on my HTC inspire and asus transformer. only wish is ability to click pois directly on map |
[2011-12-14] Madhu Shekhar: Crap doesn't work Gets stuck in download loop. Navigon, please fix, or give money back. |
[2011-12-10] sammy: Doesn't work with Galaxy Nexus Unable to download maps in Ice Cream Sandwich. |
[2011-12-09] manni: New version not working Updated to new version automatic and then stopped working .Error on download. Money lost. Don`t buy till things get fixed. |
[2011-12-08] Jade: Horrible. Had problems installing the app and had to reset the phone to factory setting and reinstall. Terrible support. Don't buy. |
[2011-12-06] BoxCar: Doesn't work at all. Allways says activation failed. Totally useless. |
[2011-12-06] Iain: Was Good now a terrible let down. Original App worked well on Xoom. Purchased Freshmaps & Cockpit. Upgraded to Version 4 as soon as the upgraded maps came available disaster. Tried a completely clean install and I cannot even download the maps and the rest of the program. Been in touch with Navigon no help whatsoever. They have ignored the last two emails I sent them. I have spent around $80 on this App. and now I have absolutely nothing. When it was working it seemed OKísh. No speed limit info for Canada? It did crash occasionally too. This is an expensive app Customers have a right to expect decent support and an application that actually works. My advice DO NOT BUY IT. |

[2011-12-04] Robert: better than nothing but only barely This is an updte to a previous rating in which I gave it one star. Using an Xperia Arc it wouldn't download the maps - just kept showing download error and stopping. Then erratically loading particular states and not others. Tried for several hours. Finally moved the phone to within 5 feet of the router (yes it is a high quality one) and the app managed to download all of the maps. Normal range for this router for flawless internet user is about 200 to 300 feet in any direction. There is obviously no error correction and restart routines in their download program. As a GPS it is only "fair" at best. Compared to other (even cheap) dedicated GPS units. Good as a backup however. If your GPS requirements are very basic and you don't require up to date or complete POI info then it will suffice. If you have an internet connection then the "Navigation" app works much better. But the maps are not stored and it requires a constant connection. I have been using navigation devices intensively since the "Loran C" days and by today's standards this is pretty basic. |
[2011-12-03] Robert: An error hac occurred. Activation has failed. After months of using :( |
[2011-12-01] Lucas: Does not work Software almost always will close after claiming activation failed. Never works when you need it. So if you want a reliable app, don't buy this. |
[2011-11-29] Randy S: Doesn't WORK--TERRIBLE SERVICE!! App used to be one of my favorites as it should be for the price paid. After a recent update it no longer works. Keeps saying activation failed. |
[2011-11-28] Dan: Would give no star Doesn't let maps to download so it's useless now. |
[2011-11-27] Huan: Xperia arc 2.3.4 Does not work |
[2011-11-27] Mohammed: Does not work after update. Activation failed? |
[2011-11-24] Bjoern: Still no wvga I would shame myself if I still would offer QVGA applications. Looks ugly compared to iPhone Version. Also the funtionality is not the same. |
[2011-11-10] Willi: Wasted Money I still do not have all of my down load, all I have is a question mark ????? Your service is ridiculous!! How long do I have to wait for a response ??? Service is a big part of selling software and your lack of service reflects badly on your product. In regards to your product why can’t I enter a Canadian postal code??? How useless is that?, my 6 year old GPS in my Subaru could find an address and your latest software could not. Where and how can I get a refund? |
[2011-11-07] Brian: A better way to travel The off line maps alone make this well worth the price. If you have the older version, everything you orginally paid for is still here (maps, traffic) |
[2011-10-27] Daniel: Not working. No customer service. I request for help for a couple of months now and no response. Very disappointed. |
[2011-10-27] mateusz: Very happy with it. Very good, so far. Accurate. If you have old version, don't worry about traffic live. I get it automatically after update with no cost. :-) |
[2011-10-26] Gary: Garmin needs to figure out who is selling Navigon Market took the payment but get download error everytime I try to start it. Samsung Galaxy 10.1. Wasted money. Navigon site provides no help. Been in touch with Garmin/Navigon. They deny any responsibility for the incorrect charges and tell me to seek refund from Android Market. They provide no support nor solutions to the problems. They have no idea who in their company even put the app on the Market. Would move rating to Zero but the choice is not there. Will keep posting as the situation continues. |
[2011-10-26] leobg: WTH??? Older version had traffic and all included, now I updated and everything that was there before costs 20 bucks a piece! Garmin/Navigon are you serious? |
[2011-10-20] Natasha: Navigon a garmen company Works very well HTC sensation |
[2011-10-20] the 10/25/2011 Bg Just purchased product - initial results indicate far inferior product to tomtom. Route selection is horrible and POI info is lacking |
[2011-09-23] ssuurrss: Where do I purchase Traffic Live? I have installed on a Motorola Atrix, but I can't find a place where I can purchase traffic live service. Anyone know? |
[2011-09-13] Tybion: Program quite good, but no service from Garmin Quite good voice instructions and routing. No speed limit warnings in Canadian provinces or an Hawaii Island. No assistance from Garmin when had problems downloading maps after buying the program. |
[2011-08-20] Helen: Unusable |
[2011-08-14] Saher: Excellent navigation. Worth the money. Loads of helpful features. Will give it 5 stars if it allows me to call poi from info menu. Galaxy S2. |
[2011-08-08] orthonovum: Please add to task bar! 1. Please add to the task bar so we can switch from navigation to home screen and then back without having to relaunch the app 2. I am installing maps now and its going to take 20 minutes... if this app does not work when the phone has no data and I cant refund it because of the short refund window I will be very unhappy 5 stars if notification bar functionality is added... 1 star if the app does not work when the phone is FULLY offline |
[2011-08-04] the 8/6/2011 : Same comment as Eric (30-07-2011). I would add that it works very well with my Bluetooth (voyager pro +). I have an xperia arc. |
[2011-07-30] Eric: Almost excellent but still the best on the android I would give 5 stars if we could call a poi, answer calls without leaving the gps screen and be able to go the google for a descreption of a poi. |
[2011-07-26] Barry: By FAR the best offline nav app out there, & I've used sygic, co-pilot live, nokia's ovi maps and all the free ones like locus etc. Worth every penny! |
[2011-07-22] Grinwald: Very accurate and helpful. With all needed functions |
[2011-07-22] Eric: Worth the Money In July 2011 I purchased this app. I was going on a business trip. I did not have a chance to try it so I got a Garmin device at the rental car center. I tried both. I preferred this app to Garmin. This app provided directions that were easier to follow. Garmin told me to take 270 but left me hanging. North or South? This told me to take the highway and what direction. The directions were more precise and easier to follow. |
[2011-07-09] m: When using plantonics voyager pro+, spoken messages are muted for the first second |
[2011-07-09] Cineza: constantly crashes in areas with limited cell reception and maybe too many trees! (upper NY and VT) I would understand no GPS because of poor reception... but crashing is not acceptable… plus too many street names are missing for search (even if they are available on the map, you can not enter them as destination!) |
[2011-06-27] Tank_Killer: Works great on my LG Chic E720, android 2.2. Rout planning and maps are pretty decent. Love that its offline maps as I dont have a data plan. |
[2011-06-27] mdb: Work great on my HTC DESIRE HD CM7 but.. it's Work fine on my HTC DESIRE HD CM7 but it has problem to resolve the address from contact list that Google navigator can do .I wish that NAVIGON programmer consider that problem on next update. |
[2011-06-22] david: Need navigation voice to be louder. |
[2011-06-21] Goldo72: The best version on a phone |
[2011-06-10] benoit: good, but could not find a way to disable some POI working really well, but could not find a way to disable the POI. In downtown montreal there are so many POI that the maps looks cluttered. |
[2011-06-02] Vadim: Very good job! |
[2011-05-31] Amrit: Great navigation |
[2011-05-29] Tony: Moving over from my iphone, this navigon app works mostly the same way. Welcome additions include the built in traffic and red light camera features. |
[2011-05-28] Colin: Had a little trouble downloading maps for nova scotia, but got them eventually. Love that it doesn't chew up my data. |
[2011-05-23] Tien: Works well. So much better than CoPilot Live. Need to be able to access it from notification area. It doesn't really run in background. |
[2011-05-21] Wayhold: Good on Nexus one, missing config options on Xoom I purchased this for mainly for offline use for my N1, but was happy to see "support" for my wifi Xoom. This way as long as I had one of my devices I could still use it around. Works great on N1, lane assist is good but I wished that it paused music instead of trying to talk through it, this makes it heard to hear. Xoom has big clear maps but it doesn't have the config button so you can not modify any configuration. This is the only drawback on the Xoom. Price is a bit high but you do get Can/USA maps. |
