Travel with us to the top of Mauna Kea for an evening of fun and adventure. We will stop at the visitor’s center at 9,000 feet of elevation to acclimatize to the thin atmosphere and have a hearty meal. Then we will venture to the 13,796 summit for one of the most spectacular sunsets you may ever see. After the sun sets and we enjoy the summit we will come back down to the Visitors Center to view through our sophisticated Celestron CPC1100 computerized 11" telescopes, where weather permitting we will see many wonders of our universe, galaxies, nebulae, planets etc. We will provide you with warm parkas as temperatures at this elevation can be surprisingly cold (people ski here sometimes!).
