[2013-01-02] A Google User: Needs an update. Does not work on 4.2.1 on galaxy s3 and will not install on nexus 7. Haven't tried installing from Ti-bu on the nexus 7 yet. On the s3 it force closes on launch. Other than that it used to work well but is useless to me right now. Hopefully it gets updated soon to use for ice fishing. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Great on S3 not so on Nexus 7 Really wish they would work on having it available for Nexus 7. Seems like a huge market to miss out on. |
[2013-01-02] A Google User: Doesn't work galaxy tab 2! I have this for my galaxy s3 and just got the tab2 only to find out it isn't compatible. Make it work and I will definitely give it 5 stars |
[2012-12-26] A Google User: Crashes when asking for additional information When I tap on the ? the screen pauses, goes black and the app crashes. Android Version 4.1.1 |
[2012-12-23] A Google User: Crashes on startup 4.2 Samsung Galaxy Nexus Fix your QA process! |

[2012-12-23] A Google User: Not working Crashes on launch. Running 4.2.1 |
[2012-12-15] A Google User: Really would like to get the Nexus 7 version! First got the Navionics Marine charts for BC Canada on my iPhone, then the US&Canada on my Samsung 7" Android tablet, which is truly excellent! I hope it will be available soon for my Nexus 7. |
[2012-12-11] A Google User: Excellent Works very well when u go ice fishing |
[2012-12-05] A Google User: Great software A few locations appear in the wrong place on the map but otherwise very handy on the river. |
[2012-12-05] A Google User: great app..... love it Now it's fixed thank god I Been getting errors and crashed for over a month now. But was a awesome app when it worked |
[2012-11-09] A Google User: Was a great app. Now it is very buggy. The track moves instead of the map moving under track. Cannot move the cross hairs to find info. This release is very buggy. |
[2012-11-01] A Google User: Great app I run boats all over the gulf and most all the ports throughout fl. to tx. Great for a quick eta or reference point. Bring the wheel house with me wherever i go. Great tool for us professional captains too. A must have. |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: Works great! Used it on traverse bay in Michigan. Did well! |
[2012-10-31] A Google User: Grea, but.... Missing one key feature in my opinion - only has north up. Need heading up option. ....please? |
[2012-10-23] A Google User: Sweet app! Exact same thing as the $200 chip in my fish finder for $15...cool |
[2012-10-11] A Google User: Lake of the woods Incomplete. |
[2012-10-10] A Google User: Good start. Easy to use, great for looking at anchorages prior to arrival. Need better planning interface, being able to drag a waypoint is essential. Offline use not allowed after app hasn't been used in a while. Needs a COG & SOG option, plus gps info ( #of satellites etc) Doesn't interface with other nav equipment... Worked fine before, now crashes on sgs2 |
[2012-10-08] A Google User: This company is crooked! So I buy their app and then a month or so later the change versions and I had to repurchase the app again(it isn't cheap). Then I get my tab 2 and I can't install it on that. Nooooo I am forced to pay double the price for the HD version. Bunch of CRAP. I will never spend money on any app from this company. |
[2012-10-06] A Google User: Was failing. Try this fix. Open don't touch map. Choose menu or route or track and go to old or current route or track. Or menu, settings add a map overlay. Just make it jump to a different spot on the map! Worked for me. Phil... Was great, then either the google phone upgraded or the map software upgrade has caused total failure...HELP..... |
[2012-09-29] A Google User: Crashes on open with latest update On my HTC One S, with the last update, the app stops working right after agreeing to the annoying user agreement. It was great when it actually worked. |
[2012-09-28] A Google User: Truly works well Samsung galaxy S3 32GB It was not on the approved list so I emailed the company and they responded with "it was not yet tested" . So I took a risk and purchased it, it worked great, I tested it on lake Erie against the boats fixed instruments and it was dead on. I now have a backup chart plotter with the basics needed to get you there. Good job. |
[2012-09-23] A Google User: Doesn't work anymore! It was awesome! But I upgraded my phone to 4.1.1 and it only works for 3 seconds then errors and closes. I'm so choked it worked great before. |
[2012-09-07] A Google User: Does not work on my Nexus 7 Boooo! |
[2012-09-05] A Google User: This is bs..downloaded all night anď still not done in the morning. |
[2012-09-01] A Google User: Been using this for three years ... Two thumbs up! |
[2012-08-30] A Google User: Missing Everett WA Tides I have the earlier WEST version for my iPod Touch and it's dandy. Only problem I've found so far with the Android version is the missing Everett WA tide data. Yes, My home port is Everett.... |
[2012-08-30] A Google User: Please add. Can you please add fish catching markers and something to lock the screen so it doesnt turn off. |
[2012-08-28] A Google User: Freaking awesome I have barely scratched the surface but I have to say for any fisherman out there this app is freaking sweet. I used it in BC on a lake that has only three cottages on it and took us over an hour to get to off the main road. This app had all depth data and made my fishing trip perfect. Best 15 bucks I have spent on any fishing equipment. |
[2012-08-26] A Google User: Best Dam Bait |
[2012-08-18] A Google User: Can't load after ICS 4.0 Samsung Note. App crashes phone, stalls out. ICS very buggy, wait for fix from developer to patch. |
[2012-08-16] A Google User: Navionics Fantastic product & easy to use. |
[2012-07-21] A Google User: Big help vs. Driving blind I had a prior version on Droid. This one works just as nice and although your position may not be accurate to the inch, you can develop a route, and make corrections as you go. I have the desktop version, and can say both work similarly, so worth every cent. |
[2012-07-18] A Google User: Works Does what I need in a compact app |
[2012-07-17] A Google User: Great App Just used it on the west coast of Vancouver Island for a week fishing and used it as a backup for our chart plotter. For the price...you cannot beat it. When not in the boat, you could use it to plan your next days route. Loved it. |
[2012-07-13] A Google User: Best app of all time Unbelievable value for money. Fantastic detail. Remarkable how many small obscure lakes have depths charted. A must have for anyone who fishes or boats. Can't go wrong with the price point. |
[2012-07-04] A Google User: Awesome Must have |
[2012-07-03] A Google User: Like it but... I haven't used it much yet but there are a couple of things I don't really like: 1. Downloading maps is a pain. I wish the areas are pre-defined so you can just download them by choosing from a list instead of marking the area on the screen. 2. This thing is HUUUGE! It's the biggest app in my phone. It wouldn't be a big deal but it won't allow me to move it to the SD card. |
[2012-06-22] A Google User: Great on Samsung Galaxy Nexus I had an older US costal version I'd bought for my Droid. It worked great, but when I upgraded to the Galaxy Nexus, the depth numbers on the chart were too small to be read. Despite what other reviewers have said, they appear to have fixed the problem with this update. I can read the numbers fine. Additionally, as a Great Lakes sailor, I appreciate that these charts include the US and Canada on one chart. Flipping between apps, and paying twice, when crossing the lake if pretty poor. Makes it so you can't see your whole trip on one page. Now they've fixed it. Great. The only thing I wonder about is why they don't give you a range and bearing screen, or range and bearing numbers at corners of the chart screen. Maybe they just don't want to cannibalize sales of their hardware systems, but this would be a perfect app if they did. Note: There are times when I have to start it twice. Odd, but no big deal. Once it's going, it stays running. |
[2012-06-01] A Google User: There is some bug Installed (a couple of days ago) this paid version on my Samsung Galaxy Nexus cellphone running Android 4.02. Unfortunately, almost every time I start this Apps, it will first give the error: "Unfortunately, US&Canada has stopped" "Report" "OK" Then I click "OK", the Apps then quits. Then I have to start the Apps again, but this 2nd start always works. A bit annoying;-) Other than this issue (which might or might not be an issue with this Apps at all. I mean it might be an issue with my cellphone?:-), I think it is a very nice and useful Apps. |
[2012-05-30] A Google User: Terrible, has not worked since installation I had the previous version of this on a different phone, it worked great. Bought a new Razr Maxx, had to buy the newest app, could not use the one I bought just a year ago on the new phone. Paid for new app, and it crashes every single time I attempt to use it. Have tried to contact Navionics, would like a refund, no reply. Lots of issues, no support as of yet. Just want a refund, can't use a program that is so unreliable. |
[2012-05-30] A Google User: Great Don't let the negative posts stop you from this purchase. It is a great addition to my card already in the boat. Without another large purchase for the front mounted finder. Well worth the $16. Thanks Navionics. |
[2012-05-29] A Google User: Great product Does everything it says and more, love it. |
[2012-05-25] A Google User: Love it! Please ad a night time red screen option! |
[2012-04-27] A Google User: Junk Does not work all the time |
[2012-04-23] A Google User: HD maps Lake of the Woods does not have HD maps like the old version. |
[2012-04-20] A Google User: Great tool I had the old version and liked it and after looking at the new one I feel it is well worth the upgrade |
[2012-04-12] A Google User: G |
[2012-04-04] A Google User: A great app A great app for small boats or backup unit |
[2012-03-22] A Google User: Good App with lot's of potential An impressive application that will only continue to improve as more end-users add missing information. Hope Navionics adds/updates more bodies of water in Canada. Using it on a Lenovo Thinkpad tablet and the Samsung Galaxy SII phone. |
[2012-03-08] A Google User: Great on droid x Wish more canadian lakes were mapped. 5 stars after the canada lake updates. Thanks |
[2012-03-05] A Google User: Junk I can't even get the program to stay open. |
[2012-03-05] A Google User: Font unreadable Despite seeing that map depth fonts were too small on other reviews, I purchased this anyway. But those warnings were factual, even someone with good vision cannot see the incredibly small font for depth markings, and no settings to change font. I've only had this on once while on water, but appeared very accurate on a small lake, showed me on a 20' break which was right on, so if they would fix font I'd maybe give this 4 stars. Map colors bad too, blue for shallow, white for safe depth. |
[2012-02-28] A Google User: Font for depths is too small Font for depths is too small even when I zoom in the font stays small. Tested on a Motorola Atrix 2 |
[2012-02-14] A Google User: Not too awesome It was off like 20 feet in gull |
[2012-02-12] A Google User: I don't even know what I'm doing I cam't find the USA map only Canada |
[2012-02-10] A Google User: Good but needs improvement.... Should be able to set safety depth to any number. Needs more icons when saving favorites, having thumbtacks all over map is confusing. |
[2012-02-09] A Google User: Two for potential too many crashes |
[2012-01-24] A Google User: Nice Wind, tide and current are nice features, as well as marina info. Maps are hard to read, and maybe impossible on the boat. The info button is nice but too much work just to read depth when you are busy. Needs option to read NOAA charts on my sd memory. Device is not always in range of network. |
[2012-01-19] A Google User: 27 Fountain DEPTHS PLEASE!!!!! I've been excited about getting this phone so I could down load this app.... super disappointing... I have 20 20 & I can not make half of these depth numbers out when I'm sitting at home in a chair so I'm definitely not going to be able to make them out when I'm in a boat that's rocking with the sun glaring on the screen. That is common sense...Somebody must have puffed the magic dragon 10 too many times when they were programing this app... I hope they read these & do something about it |
[2012-01-16] A Google User: Ken. A great supplement to my chart plotter. Love the wide coverage area. |
[2011-12-17] A Google User: Not the best gps app Nothing special.. Some contour lines missing, not able to import other files (kmz, gpx, etc.), doesn't use standard Android menus, can't change the format of coordinates, some fields use a European decimal format (comma instead of period). You are paying for the map data which is worth the $$, not a good app for recording and sharing points and tracks. |
[2011-12-15] A Google User: Excellent app. I am a towboat pilot and this is very useful. Maybe a ap2sd function. |
[2011-10-15] A Google User: 5star Awesome app. |
[2011-10-06] A Google User: Great backup gps I have never had to use this app, but I am confident that if I had to, it would get me back to port safely. Best of all the marine nav apps. |
[2011-10-04] A Google User: The One and Only... and the Best I have used this app on iPhone for a couple of years as it covers Nova Scotia perfectly and it saved me $700+ to buy a dedicated chart plotter for the boat. While there is lots of competition in the iOS world in terms of marine maps/chart plotter apps.. this one was head & shoulders above the crowd. Switched to Android recently and am very happy to find it has recently been added to the market. Just downloaded and played with it. Same fantastic experience as on iPhone. Thanks a ton for porting it over. |
[2011-10-04] A Google User: As advertised Downloaded on my Toshiba Thrive tablet and it works as advertised. I really like the minimum safe depth feature. Very glad they opened it up for honeycomb 3.0. Well worth the money for all the coverage. |
