Great map app Great tool with lots of options and settings, very customizable for one's needs. I'm using it mostly for orientation and track recording while hiking or on MTB. At this point, I can say I'm very satisfied with this asp, but I would welcome some widgets for lock screen.

Keeps getting better I like that I can add my own offline map data as both reference layers and searchable POI's. Developers are constantly improving and respond quickly to questions and support requests. This app does more that any other Android mapping application out there for very cheap.

Excellent! I came from the iPhone and the main reason I didn't want to switch to Android is beacause of one app and that is MotionX-GPS I use it alot for my outdoor activities and it simply the best! I am very happy I found Locus it doeas everything MotionX-GPS and more. The menus are a bit complicated and there is a learning curve but give it some time and you love it. If you are coming from the iphone and used MotionX-GPS ... Locus is the app for you.

Worth every penny I used this app on a cycling trip abroad. Having spent a few hours downloading the maps beforehand, I found that the app reliably allowed me to follow the predefined path, without incurring roaming charges. It struggled a bit in cities, but I think that's the fault of the GPS signal. Menus are a bit unintuitive, so it takes a while to find the settings you're looking for, but usually everything you might want to configure is configurable!

Outstanding! Using for airborne public safety I am a co-pilot/TFO on the helicopter for a major public safety organization here in the Phoenix area. Our older bird has no built-in moving map. I've been using Locus Pro with offline MapQuest Classic street maps on the Google Nexus 7 (which fits into the leg pocket of my flight suit). Don't worry about the "too complicated" post of Nov 3. Save money by using offline maps I used locus pro while travelling in a car through Japan's countryside up in the mountains. It has all the functions I need. Compared to the other map applications available for Android is feel it is the one with the most features. I compared it with several others like Osmand+ and NavDroid. At home I use Google maps because of the traffic layer, which will be close to impossible to implement in a niche application like Locus. It would be nice if it would draw vector maps faster than it does like MapDroid.

Amazing software My warmest recommendation for buying of Pro version. To an anybody who works on some of mapping systems, furthermore is mobile, this is an excellent solution. If you are getting area measures, together with all advanced features (Garmin, MapInfo, ArcView, etc) from expensive softwares, onto this app, absolutely you will be lucky.

Still the best on/off road app Been using Locus ever since I got my first Android phone few years ago and still my number one app when roaming the woods. Unlike most of the apps down the road after updates, Locus has been able to deliver reliability and features on an user friendly UI. If there is one off road app you are going to buy, I recommend this over the others.

Excellent app! This is a great GPS app. It is consistent, easy to use, and powerful enough when you dug into it. I use it to track my inline skating and I like it better than other apps because it shows average and max speed without having to export it. It works great on my Nexus 4 on T-Mobile.

Awesome. Update from 11-21-11 I think this is one of the best apps in the android eco system, without a doubt the best navigation application on the planet. There is a learning curve, but it's worth taking the time. I spend alot of time exploring Washington state and don't believe there is a better navigation option currently available.

Bob Recently installed Pro on Galaxy Note 8. I am really impressed by the interface and the software capability. Main use for me is map display in field (multiple user generated maps of geologic data) and for point and track data acquisition. It works brilliantly on Galaxy Note 8 with bluetooth GPS head . It has sufficient flexibility for quick point capture and if needed more data on specific points. Manuals are difficult to wade though and understand but Petr is brilliant and responsive helping with email support. I look forward to further enhancements of the software. Locus appear to listen to user needs and I feel great enhancements are likely in the future.

Unstable. hard to use. I bought this hoping to have a nice digital vector map i could use for directions and exploring while offline in remote areas. It could be & might be for someone whose willing to learn to use it despite there being almost nothing for tutorials available and upgradations forcing you to totally relearn the interface. Ultimately the program stopped working entirely after rebuying vector maps and reinstalling the app Because of an sqlite error that no seems to know how to fix it. Waste of money and time.

Keep up the good work developers! The best app for simple and fast offline display on your smartphone of your own shapefiles (converted to Kmz). Great app. Hope developers fix a way for direct import of shapefiles with keeping several columns of tabledata.
