[2012-06-02] Ken: Very slow App works great. Too bad it is painfully slow. |
[2012-05-20] Anonymous: Great Works Fine. I used it in Colombia where it was invaluable. It was pretty poor at picking up speech though. I would give it 4 stars but there are too many unjustified 1 stars here so I am bumping the score a little bit. |
[2012-05-11] Frank: Too bad it doesnt work?! Waste of money. Wont work on my galaxy tab, which it specs is compatible. Support has not responded to my email. Dont buy, dont give crooks your money! |
[2012-05-11] Gary: Whats next? Love this hope you're working on realtime phone to phone translation. That would be revolutionary. |

[2012-05-10] Graham: Jibbigo is so-so I bought this app in preparation for a trip to Spain. It is installed on an EVO 4G as well as an Eee Pad Transformer TF101. Installation was fast and easy. Some get their undies in a twist about installing to SD. It's a self-contained app for crying out loud! Deal with it! The app works on both devices, but it is much too slow to actually use conversationally, sometimes taking 20+ seconds to translate 4 or 5 word sentences. I'm sure the time is largely dependent on the speed of the device used. For instance, on the EVO, it took approximately 30 seconds to translate "May I have some coffee, please?", while the newer device, the Transformer, translated it in under 3 seconds. I sure wish I could carry around my phone rather than a tablet for the sake of translations! It is really great that it doesn't use a data connection, though. That makes it practical since being abroad typically means it's prohibitive to connect to the network. One neat feature is that the app stores your history of translations for later perusal, although I'd like to be able to selectively clear inaccurate recognition sentences. Currently only global history clearing is possible. |
