Grid Nav Free MGRS Utility (v. 1.0.3) Разработано Matt Kaili - mkk dev |
Grid Nav allows you to obtain GPS location data in angular geographic coordinates and in Military Grid Reference System (MGRS) format, and is able to be shared. Perfect for land navigation.
Features:
-Displays current location in decimal and MGRS format along with accuracy reading, number of GPS satellites seen, altitude, course and speed.
-Rangefinder allows you to find approximate distance to an object based on angular difference.
-Converter converts coordinates between degrees and DMS and UTM and MGRS
Note: This app is only as accurate as your device's sensors. Most device compasses are very inaccurate, causing poor rangefinder performance. DO NOT USE THIS APP IN LIFE CRITICAL SITUATIONS. Use at your own risk. Always have a backup.

[2013-04-24] A Google User: ok simple, very simple, but easy to use and not too bad |
|
[2013-02-25] A Google User: excellent Turned it on for the first time in a hotel room, and it had my coordinates in perfect accuracy, while stating it was seeing 11 satellites. What is most shocking, really, is that this information wasn't already available to the user of a phone with GPS - if the phone had always been reading satellites and calculating position, why wasn't that information available to the user? Without that info, you could only previously see your position in an urban area (street maps). |

[2013-01-28] A Google User: Inconsistent Sometimes it's right on, other times it's way off. Double checked grids with military GPS to verify inconsistencies. Not reliable enough for me, and slow to track. |

[2013-01-19] A Google User: Great App Awesome for land nav. Definitely wouldn't rely on it for fires. Then again why would you. |

[2012-09-07] A Google User: Great free app I was looking for an app to help me approximate a parcel of land. Working great right now, seeing as many as 12 satellites. Hope the trees aren't too thick on the parcel I plan to check. |

[2012-07-31] A Google User: Knowing is.... ... half the battle. In case I need to request fire support in the 'burbs... |
|
[2012-06-24] A Google User: Awsome Very good app. Just need to be able to input waypoints |
|
[2012-04-21] A Google User: Inaccurate Way off! Would be better if it had a place to put in a coordinate then gave you distance and direction from current location. |

[2012-04-16] A Google User: Awesome Awesome! |
|
[2012-03-15] A Google User: Hmm Jury's still out. Sometimes it's on point, others, and they are rare it has been off by 3 grid squares. Still like the software, but I always have somebody double check with me when appropriate. |

[2011-09-12] A Google User: MGRS Not a bad ap, it displays the error margin you get from the sats and lets you choose metric or imperial. Can't input MGRS coordinates though. |

[2011-08-13] A Google User: Cross referenced it with my map and grid coordinates of my known location and it was spot on. Perfect for miltary. Only problem is slow tracking. |
