GPS memo is a slick app that allows the user keep GPS memo's of places visited. It uses the GPS feature of the Android phone is capturing GPS fixes (latitude, longitude). This data is stored in txt or kml file formats. The data is stored on external or internal storage media such as micro SD card. GPS memo is easily configurable and user friendly. Google map view can be set to Street View, Traffic View or Satellite View. The GPS acquisition period is also configurable as opposed to a constant GPS fix interval. GPS memo also allows view of files stored on the SD card. GPS data such as the KML file formats can be viewed using Google Earth on a desktop computer.
