Konstanz, the city of Lake Constance

Lake Constance – Lac de Constance – Lago di Costanza – the lake is named according to the city of Konstanz.
The city of Konstanz, with around 80,000 inhabitants, is not only the largest city on the lake, but also in living memory at the center of the lake between the Black Forest / Alps in the north and west and the Alps in the south and east.

Konstanz invites you at the lake with its bustling medieval old town and the perfect location as a starting point for all activities around the lake.

Konstanz is both a historic and cultural gem because of its history, the museums, the oldest active theater in Germany and the Southwest German Philharmonic Orchestra.
Konstanz is on the other hand relaxing and adventure-oriented by the lake and nearby Switzerland, Austria, Liechtenstein and the Alps.

What do you prefer: swimming in the lake, sunbathing in the beach resorts, boat tours and excursion vessels, in the Bodensee-Therme spa, cycling, hiking, the flower island of Mainau. Large parts of the Old Town are pedestrian area and invite you for shopping in numerous retail stores and shopping centers.

Konstanz is also young and lively due to the students of the University of Excellence and the College of Engineering, Business and Design. Small and large events, e.g. Alemannic carnival, the Lake Festival in August, the several kilometer long border-crossing flea market in Konstanz/ Kreuzlingen (Germany/ Switzerland), the wine festival, concerts like "Rock am See" and the events on the island of Mainau are outstanding events in a unique atmosphere and environment.

GPS real-time tracking. Routing point to point. Rotate map so the driving direction (heading) is always up. Voice guidance (turn left/turn right)

Basic User Guide

Touch and drag to move map, pinch to zoom in/out, tap on + button to zoom in, tap on - button to zoom out, tap on an object (street or point) to view its name, double tap or touch and hold (long press) on an object (street or point) to open context menu apply to that object.

There is an option to load routing nodes into memory. If you select this option, the application will calculate shortest/fastest route from point to point very fast.

You can install this application for free to see how the offline map application works on your phone. The map data included in this application is center area of Singapore map (not the whole map of Singapore because this is free version to demo the application functions only).

How to use turn by turn navigation:
You can use AutoRouting together with GPS tracking to have turn by turn navigation. To use turn by turn navigation, follow these steps:
1. Increase your phone volume so that you can hear voice guidance.
2. Open Setup menu and check "In Car Navigation When Tracking/Routing" and "Keep On Road When Tracking" options. If these options have been turn off then turn them on.
3. Define start waypoint and target waypoint, select AutoRouting to calculate fastest/shortest route. After the application starts to demo the route, you can tap anywhere on the map to stop the AutoRouting demostration. The application remembered your route.
4. Select GPS tracking menu and wait for the phone to fix GPS signal. It may take a few minutes to fix GPS signal depending on your phone GPS receiver.
5. Mount your phone on the phone handle in your car.
6. Drive along the fastest/shortest route, the application will guide you to go straight, turn left or turn right. Follow the turn by turn instructions you will reach the target waypoint.

Please use this function turn by turn navigation carefully, always look at the road ahead while you drive instead of looking at the small phone screen to have a safe drive.
