This app allows you to track the real-time flight status and see the live map flight track of any commercial flight worldwide and general aviation (private, charter, etc) in the United States and Canada.

Track by aircraft registration, route, airline, flight number, city pair, or airport code. Tracking data includes complete flight details and full-screen maps with NEXRAD radar overlay.

Receive real-time push notification flight alerts, view airport delays, see nearby flights (in the sky overhead), and more!

Very nice utility Excellent app for staying up to the minute with flight status. Monitoring a flight which passed through Storm Isaac the other day, this app was very much appreciated. I believe I prefer the mobile website slightly because of the background colors, but both the app and website are excellent tools!! Thank you a great free app.

Used to work great Up until a month or two ago the alerts worked flawlessly, now they no longer work. I haven't been alerted for a flight, neither have any of my friends who use it, in a long time. Something needs to be fixed. Once that's done I'll give it 5 stars again.

Disappointed with Alert Feature I like this app and it mostly functions well. But the alert feature doesn't work with my Samsung Stratosphere. I have set my alerts to notify me via Android but I never get any alerts. I have tried this from my phone and from my desktop computer but neither method worked.

Touchy Desire HD. Causes quite a few other apps to crash as soon as I launch it. Works really well otherwise!

Great app fix maps! Flights around me - shows blue map with just water layer. When I resize I can see the regular google map with roads, towns etc behind it but then the blue layer comes back. Fix that and you get five stars.

Wont save alerting preferences. I select alerting preference and go bad a day later and preference will have changed back to default.

Needs some improvements Generally does ok with flight status. There has to be a lag from true real time, I believe, due to regulations for flight security. In bound flight info when available is useful to know when your plane you will be getting on will arrive. Biggest issue on my Droid X is that alerts that are set NEVER work. I use this app only as a backup.

Too many flights missing I uninstalled the app after 5 minutes. Too many flights and airlines are missing from the search.

Confusing I've never seen a more confusing app. Flight info screen showed multiple arrival and departure times for that flight (it was for the same day too). "View inbound" button isn't clear what it does. It appears to just go to another flight number. What is the use of that? Will have to find another flight tracker app.

All this for free You get for free what other apps charge you for. You can choose alerts for wether you're on the flight or just picking someone up.

Accurate. But Permissions Stink Flight data is right on. But App permissions give them access to EVERY contact in your phone. Yuck!!!

Steals contact info! The app requests permission to read your contacts. When the permission is denied it crashes. Also random force closed all the time

Good, needs a little refinement. I've used the online version of Flight Aware for many years--the app does what it should do...mostly. The menus are a bit limiting--there needs to be more choices. There also needs to be a way to customize the notification sounds instead of using the Android system default. There is no way to discern between the two. Also, the Alert schedule does not "stick"--invariably when I set it to "indefinitely", exit, and go back in the app has selected "multiple days" automatically, i.e., it does not save the selection.

Ok, but slow and crashes This app can provide a lot of flight data, but much more than most people want, and feels like overkill. It will provide basic flight info, although in my experience it was not as accurate as other apps. It does have a nice animation of how far the flight is in its route. However, I found that app to be very slow. Furthermore, it caused my phone to crash horribly, requiring a battery removal to restart.

Wrong Dunno where it gets the information from but it's wrong. The flight I was watching out for was totally misrepresented on this app and I had to use the airport website instead or I would have been 2 hours late !

Incorrect information I tried tracking two flights in the last week. Both were several hours late, but were listed by FlightAware as being on time. I highly recommend FlightView instead - the information it provides seems to accurately reflect up-to-date information on the airline's website.
