ArtAround is an interactive, inside-out museum for public art in DC. Get the scoop on everything from murals, monuments, and street art to galleries, museums, and festivals - and share what you know, too.

You'll be amazed to discover the art that's around you (especially in a place like DC). But don't just look: Comment. Share stories, ask the artists questions, upload your pictures, and edit and update information about the works and places listed.


With ArtAround you can:

*Explore (and search) a beautiful map of DC's art and creative spaces that's always growing

*Look up information about a specific work of art or space

*Be a community curator:

    -add to/edit information about works and spaces

    -add new works and spaces to the map

*Give your two cents and ask questions about anything on the map

*Take and share pictures

*Keep track of favorite places and pieces


WHY JUST DC?

ArtAround is a pilot project done by a bunch of curious citizens in partnership with the DC Commission for the Arts and Humanities and the Washington DC Economic Partnership. It started in DC, but that doesn't mean that's where it has to stop. Check out the platform and get in touch if you're interested in seeing it grow.
