Wellington Transit (v. 1.4.2)

Wellington NZ bus, train, ferry, and cablecar timetable and stop info, searchable offline but pulling in real-time arrival data from MetLink, and makes it easy to stay up to date by giving you the day's messages from MetLink's twitter feed.

Schedule databases are updated periodically, based on those published at metlink.org.nz.

This app is entirely free, with a discrete localised advert embedded in the schedule display. (A paid version will be available in due course)

A wish: arrival time at destination When deciding which bus/train to take, it would be useful to be able to see its (timetabled or expected) arrival time at the destination, and at the intermediate stops for that matter. For example when tapping on entry for a scheduled bus listed at the current stop, the app could show that bus' schedule all the way to its terminus.

Where's my bus I've found this app to be great. Have got everyone in the fam to use it. No more waiting for a bus or turning up minutes after the bus has passed. I'd love to be able to move the app to my SD, I don't have much phone memory. Other than that I love this app.

Dissappointed traveller Absolutely useless. I wasted time downloading an app that did nothing to help me. It did not even give me the train stops in my town, of which it CLAIMS to do. EXTREMELY dissappointed with this app.

Works well The find stops nearby feature is well implemented and the timetables will automatically update with realtime. Needs a paid version to remove the advertising for 5 stars. Very good on both Samsung galaxy ace plus and nexus 7.

a good start And useful for regular users on particular services. I do long walks. As part of my planning in the days before I would like to see the entire timetable for routes for a given future day. For example, if I am planning to walk up the beach from Waikanae to Otaki on a Saturday or Sunday it is essential to know (1) the 5:20 from Otaki Beach terminates at Otaki Library - not SH1 and (2) there is no service on Sundays.

This app has changed my life It has made it much easier to catch buses and stop wasting time waiting for them. Real-time update is awesome. Let's face it, buses never run on time during rush hour, so real-time updates are essential.

How to only find relevant routes? Downloaded this app last week, and basic funtionality seems to work well, and it seems stable. It easily found the bus stop I was at and listed all buses going through that stop. I then searched for, and found, my destination stop and it listed all buses that go to that destination. Just one question: How do I combine these two functions? I only want to list buses going to my intended destination that go past the stop I'm waiting at. It's not too useful filling up the screen with buses that either I can't get on, or don't want to. I'll be happy to increase the rating if someone can tell me how to do this.

I'd be happy with just 5 or 0 minutes - if it's gone, it's gone! Also, I have an HTC Wildfire S Android 2.3.3. I can save a favorite, but once I press it again it loses its favorite status and is no longer in large font.
