In version 7.0, Trip Journal continues to offer you great features to create a memorable travelogue. You asked us to make Trip Journal simpler to use so we’ve also made it much easier to create trips and understand how to use Waypoints. We went to work on this request and now there is no need to navigate through multiple menus and screens -- you can create your trip with a few simple steps in one main screen. Waypoints are now called Places and it’s much clearer how to organize all the media and notes for the Places that you’ve add on the map in your trip journal.

Record Your Trip with GPS route tracking, and use automatic or manual positioning to add your favorite places and destinations. Trip Journal can automatically define your location and you can easily add geo-tagging to photos and videos.

Everyone loves travel photos and videos. You can add them to Trip Journal from your Photo Gallery or take them in Trip Journal. The photos and videos taken with Trip Journal are also saved in the Photo Gallery at full camera resolution and can be added to previously created Places you’ve added in your journal. Say you want to add some video of you trekking the last leg of your journey at the Great Wall of China. You’d never want to forget that moment. Trip Journal gives you two quality options for recorded video. All that adds up to plenty of great photos and videos of your trip that you can later send by email, connect to Facebook and share, or upload to Picasa, Flickr, or YouTube.

Maybe there are some special things you want to jot down to remember about a place you visited. You can write notes in the journal to describe your vacation experiences and you can add comments to photos and videos as well.

When you are ready to Share Your Trip, we’ve integrated Trip Journal with your favorite social networks and content sharing portals, including Facebook, Flickr, Picasa, YouTube, and Twitter, to bring you more interactivity than ever before.

With Google Earth integration, Trip Journal allows friends and family to easily see the route you traveled, the places you found most interesting, and full screen photos, videos, and comments about the places you visited. Refuses to open. I purchased this using the Android market. It refuses to open saying I do not have a license. Absurd.

NO Longer updated: save your money Apparently this is no longer being supported by the developers, judging by the lack of response and or lack of updates (since 2012). The option to remove inter-black lines between waypoints/places is needed like the iphone version. Its the one feature holding this app back from being a go-to-app for all my travels. This ruins the whole experience! (Currently using a Galaxy Note 2 handset)

When arrived home found that my journal is only good for me to see on my phone because the facebook page does not work. Very disappointed i can't share the journal despite 3 weeks of entries. Findan alternative.

Could be great but ...it feels abandoned by the app's developers. If all you want is document where you have been, as you go along then the app will do the job. If on the other hand you might want to use your phone to snap a few pics and add the best to your Trip Journal later, then you'll find this a big pain in the bottom. Generally the app felt slow to respond, a bit awkward to add content or places after the tracking crashed. And sharing, forget it. Sharing to facebook took forever and instead of showing a little map of where we've travelled it only pumped out the pics. Sharing by email kmz map took a lot of explaining to do with my parents. The biggest opportunity is to make the app slicker, faster with better sharing and post trip editing.

Down Rated due to UI Downgrade Excellent app. Would also love it if users could import trips directly from other users to view them from their phones. Overall a great product. *** Updated: The old version was great. Since Version 7 came out around June, it's become another bland, nothing spectacular app like many others on the Play Store. A lot of unhappy users have requested that the developer bring back the old UI and I thought there was talks of doing so, but it's now been 4 months and I have not gone back to using this app yet. Still waiting for that old UI to come back.

Held back by APPLE. Developer also makes an iShit version, and wants to keep continuity between both versions. Because of the limitations of iShit, this Android version has also been limited. Photos and Video are max resolution that an iShit camera can take instead of 8+ MP like most Android devices support. No Widget. No Google+ support, only Faceshit. No weather for location auto added like other diary apps. No Google Docs or Google Drive support. Dev keeps dumbing down interface because of Stupid CrApple users.

Poor and no support I downloaded this whilst I was on holiday, I thought it looked good. Then it wouldn't open because they hadn't received the confirmation from Google Play. No problem I thought, I'll just wait and add the photos and stuff later. But you can't. It's not possible to import photos afterwards, I emailed the developers, I received no response. Total waste of time but can't apply for a credit because it took so long for them to register my purchase in the first place

Not what I wanted Not enough functionality for it to be useful for me. Tried using it during a 3k mi roadtrip to both show the course of the trip and manage photos. The course on the map looks silly because I didnt plot enough points, photo management very limited. Would have been more practical to jot some notes on paper and take pics with phone camera for ease of sharing.

Has Everything, Just Not Connected Well On a trip overseas, I found the waypoint feature great for notes and photos, but reliance on roaming data and poor geotracking necessitated constantly curating the trip when wifi data was available. Photos are not associated with the text so if you take 5 or 6 photos at a spot, then make a couple of notes, it is not clear which note belong with what photo. The google earth export looks very nice, but it doesn't present all information about a waypoint well enough, the thumbnail of photos displayed are of other waypoints, not the photos taken at that point, the notes are concatenated and it is not made clear how many notes are there. I've used this for 2 campervan trips and my next I will be using HTC locations/footprints instead. It would also be useful if you could enrich the trip with additional photographs taken offline with a dedicated camera after the trip.

Very bad This app is extremely unreliable. And support is virtually non-existent. It will export a video in one trip to Facebook and then simply refuse to export the same video in another trip. Keeping in mind the video has been uploaded to youtube already.

Just outstanding. I recorded an offroad trip and in minutes I had this figured out. What a great way to record all the details. I love the look of it.
